I was thinking how much your work holds a literary quality to it- & upon mentioning your second channel, it all made sense. I feel your compassion & empathy with every word, and your call to action for those enduring ab*se really affected me. I’d love to have see some videos where perhaps you cover some things from a more clinical forensic psych perspective, based on your employment experience, e.g insights into the manipulations a PD forensic patient/inmate may pull, etc. just because you have a fascinating mind & I’d love to hear how you approach it. Thank you for your very kind words! I really appreciate it. Yes, it would’ve been interesting to find that out but I’m sure it would’ve presented by now, given the time elapsed. I would prefer the channel to be a bit more of an UNhidden gem as this is my full-time job now and it would be nice to have more and more people flocking to join the Dark Legion, as I like to call my fans! 😏 I like to project the empathy, I feel it is vital not only to set myself apart from other similar creators but to emphasise the fact that murder victims were real people, not just a statistic, a notch on a bedpost, so to speak. I dove a little bit deeper into psych type stuff when I covered Dennis Nilsen, that one was fascinating to research. His autobiography is actually brilliant! If only he’d chosen a different path! C’est la vie! I do always appreciate my fans from God’s Own country of Oz! You are not alone, my friend. There’s plenty of ya as regular viewers and I love you all! My latest project is quite a fascinating one, I’ll try and give a bit more in-depth psych analysis with it, not that I’m an expert of course, but I had plenty of hands-on experience in dealing with PD ex-offenders. Most were sex offenders but there were people who committed murder, wounding and DV. And yet, very rarely did I ever feel threatened. Most of them realised you were there to help, so I guess that kept them docile for the most part. Anyway, I’ve taken up enough of your time here! Lol Thanks again and welcome to the Dark Legion and come aboard the good ship DiD! 😁👍🏻

You're kinda missing the whole point though. It's not that a 1" blade is in any way more effective than a 3" pocket knife blade. It's the plausible deniability that having a box cutter offers over a knife. It's the fact that it is a terrible option as far as edged weapons go. "No officer I had it to cut boxes as the name suggests" It's because the very name gives normal people a justifiable reason to have one. I carry a 3" automatic knife to work every day for the specific purpose of cutting boxes because I generally don't stab people even though I really should have a box cutter.

This a very odd case. There doesn't seem to be in his background that is generally present to suspect his actions. I, too, would like to see a psych eval. Whether drugs and alcohol were the cause of his depravity, or the result, something dramatic happened to cause his actions. A serious mental illness is the suspected cause, but, generally, that manifests itself earlier in a person's life. I also worked with the seriously mental ill for 20 years here in the States. Of course, I am not suggesting that his illness, if it exists, excuses him for his actions. Some States still have the death penalty, and he would probably be facing execution in those States.(as an aside, I am personally opposed to the death penalty, but I can understand people who support it.). As usual, your video was very well presented. Good luck on your channel.

A relatively bland kid whose successful at his first marriage... And then working at the power plant he seems to have decompensated. At first I was thinking maybe some exposure to toxins and brain damage. Even though he was able to plan the abduction of the sister and lie to cover his tracks he had absolutely no long-term planning ability and didn't even cover up the crimes well. I'm just puzzled but I'm leaning towards the possibility of fetal alcohol syndrome. The bouts of absolute rage and the obvious understanding that what he did was wrong seems to fit the pattern of behavior I've seen in individuals with that kind of brain damage. I guess like other folks I really would like to see some MRI imaging and more of his childhood behavioral issues and developmental milestones. He just doesn't fit the profile for some evil sadist who got off on torture. Fetal alcohol spectrum disorder is often missed but they do things without consideration for the consequences and rage is a big part of the personality.

As for trying to figure out what makes someone evolve like this from an otherwise normal seeming childhood, the brain is so complex that when alcohol and/or other drugs are added to it, there is no predicting really, what can be wrought. Man's attempts to quantify personality disorders and psyche issues are truly in their infancy.

How on earth can he have stabbed his first victim nearly to death YET RECEIVE NO PRISON SENTENCE?? People can go to prison for addressing someone with the wrong pronoun but stab someone almost to death and you're free to walk the streets. What the hell kind of 'justice' system is this? 😖

I really love your great stories, just makes you appreciate some normality of life, and the shite that hopefully most of us ‘normal people’ don’t have to worry about being exposed to. I must admit that I do miss the real stories of the olden days (Not that long ago) when the prisoners in the big maximum security jails here in Australia used to administer their own treatment of the real ‘cruel’ dogs in society, especially child killers and pedophiles! They do have their own unwritten laws inside believe it or not!

God those old radios the AFOs are carrying take me back. Another fantastic video mate, well done, this is a much better documentary than you would ever find on the TV/streaming services. You clearly have an incredible amount of talent, please keep them coming mate. I suspect you already know the answer to your question, which is it was already inside him with the drugs and alcohol it just sped the process of his fucked up mind and twisted narcissistic personality into overdrive. He was always going to kill to get what he wanted, he was a ticking time bomb waiting to explode into it’s killing rage.
