Well, gaurdians are meant to be immortal, even if his light is gone he still will live for a long, long time. Longer than the average human even in the golden age cause of how the traveler reseructed us. Plus, I'm not sure how exactly the traveler decides what "age" we are brought back to. Osiris looks old, but then again I know people in their 30's that look like they're in their late 60's and vice versa. But to give into Osiris not becoming the next Cloudstrider, there is a few things preventing him from doing so. One of which is Saint. I'm positive that Osiris wouldn't do something like that to Saint because they love eachother, and since Saint (for the time being) is immortal, and Osiris is now not, he would probably want to spend as much time with him as possible.

Brings up a thought. THe mechanism is what... Nanotech and cybernetics to push the human body to the point of being a Causal Demigod? That implies that Cloud Striders are among the most powerful individual causal beings to exist outside of stuff like Vex minds. Which they are created and trained to fight. THat brings up an interesting thought. Pound for Pound, Strider vs Lightbearer? Cloud Striders are probably a goddamn a nightmare to fight given they routinely fight Vex and we witnessed them kill at LEAST One Tormentor, who are pretty much tailor made to drink the Light from Guardians and kill them. But a guardian, as long as their ghost is hale and healthy can just keep on getting back up as every time you kill them. But yea, besides the point. Cloud Striders push the body far FAR beyond it's limits, bit it's still at it's core a Human body. Meaning that human foundation can only run for so long before burning out. Hence the microscarring.

"Those who laugh the loudest hold the greatest Sorrow." This is a quote over how people react in a contradictory manner as a coping mechinism, and one has to wonder if Tramontane laughed so much from Joy or Sorrow. If it was in sorrow she deserved a much better end, if it was in Joy she got a better end than most could ask for knowing her job was done and in the hands of someone she could trust and rely one. Either way the lore points to me that she was able to pass away with a sense of peace instead of the suffering most assume for such a vulnerable state.

A location I don't ever recall seeing in the story, at least not the part with 4-5 giant Vex constructs immortalized as statues on a far wall. I know we come here for the aforementioned mission, but following the path the location I found could lead you to a number of locations, the far Black Garden arena for the Black Heart mission which could be accessed with some funky movement using a "bounce barrier" to launch yourself into that areas playable zone, and towards the strike arena with the giant Harpy. To this day I've wondered what the Valley Of Kings relationship is to the story, and if it may be important, especially now.

@@S3Cs4uN8 but it is not impossible. Cloud striders chose a path that already put them up for an early grave so the exo choice may not be so bad. As for Clovis it’s only a matter of time until he tries to destroy us with a large exo mech body or something along those lines and we all know how that usually turns out. But in all seriousness the crypts defenses were taken down after the raid so even if Clovis did take control he would be little threat. I just proposed the idea as an alternative way of surviving instead of dying in a bio pod unable to speak or move.

So it seems a lot of people have come to rely on lore tabs so much they do not even look at the items. The eyes, this is a clear reference to the eyes of tomorrow rocket launcher. furthermore we get additional explanation on an old piece of lore we had. A character is talking about Clovis Bray and is going to report him but is being called to see him and the lore entry ends. This expansion we got that continued and a reference to someone called the puppeteer. This character is being called into the cloud ark prototype chamber, this I am pretty confident in from the rooms description as it uses the term harness, and an exo-frame that is inside the harness. Clovis Bray is in the corner of the room and when the other character is looking at the Exo we have a fractured perspective. There is text about looking at a face and it is not his so he reaches up and claws his face off, but it also clearly talks about how this character is looking at someone while these thoughts are occurring, essentially the person is now both in the exo and in the body, and the body is destroyed in this face clawing. This is super fucking important for understanding why vision is important and the actual capabilities of the cloud ark. It is capable of doing something with consciousness that allows for some kind of avatar operation in the world, and helps further connect our ghosts to this tech. Sorry guys Clovis Bray probably made the ghosts especially since he has already said in a lore entry he harnessed the power of the traveler to help Elsie. We are being manipulated by the vanguard, it isnt random they have made the cosmodrome into a freeway off ramp for new guardians

few problems for me with the lore and lose of some characters in place we get these weak tools and actors. 1. Rasputin had warsats, valkyrie, neuralnet work able to hack vex, and control over siva nanobots if he's able to get it. We lose him and all these tools just so we can get two cloudstriders that die in few years and havn't done anything really wowing link rasputin. 2. The tech seems to be not as weaponized as siva, we don't see nano tech automatically defending the city. They leave all that too, two police like cloudstriders. Why cant exos be cloudstriders? Is the nano tech so bad that it can't enhance one? Is the tech so bad they can't correct exo mental problems? Why no enhance frames or develop heavy frames? No nano swarms or automated weapons to defend anything? No guardians able to be transformed into cloudstriders? Siva was able to enhance and prolong life of tissues and heal people. Why can't this "better nanobots" do the same? We don't have weapons other than one exotic that shows any power of this new tech. It feels like destiny makes cool things but never uses them, for example, the black armory. Why can't we feed siva, splicer, vex, or cloudstrider nanobots into the forge and make new weapons. Why can't we use the braytech facilities/tech to construct mechs and war machines? Why not finish the giant body exo and put Rasputin inside of it or some guardian? All of the tech and tools are there but it all feels so disconnected or like characters just don't remember they even have it and each season we lose more things.

Because there were no light bearers on neomuna before lightfall. They saw gaurdians as warlords and terrorists.

Why would they do that when the Council does neither trust us, nor even the Cloudstriders, seeing that there are never more than two.

Bottom line is all heroes either go out with a bang or a whimper! Cast away by those who needed them or become inconvenient! All governments and nations revise history to suit the vision of policy! Paint heroes of villains and villains of heroes. Media for kids simplifies the messages even more!

This game will never have a satisfying end. By design, it can't. It just keeps going on and on for as long as money can still be rung out of it. I have completely checked out of this narrative, and wish D2 would just die already so Bungie would be forced to make a different game. I don't even care if it's good or not, I just want to talk about something else now. I'm so tired of Destiny that I'm not even mad anymore. I'm apathetic.
