@@akallstar5 I imagine Edwrd Norton energy from Fight Club. Snarky, witty, and mentally elusive. Too bad it started to fall apart once he was relentlessly pressed and bullied by Dan and Destiny. It's like all the cringe was magnified. People can say the tears and freakout were all a part of a bit, but I don't think he's that good of a performance actor. He's probably just a good sport about it all afterwards.
@brodymercer8166

In my opinion, what makes me think this is a bit is how hard Destiny and Dan were drilling him. They seemed to be trying to push hard on him out the gate. If it was authentic wouldn't they be more charitable to him? It never came across to me that Destiny disliked Jreg prior to this, but he comes across like he hates him lol. Like Jreg says "Performance Art". And the fact this is even being discussed is exactly the outcome Jreg would want.
@akallstar5

@@brodymercer8166 Nah, I think the irony was intentionally kept ambiguous by both, which allows both parties to both try and get what they want from eachother (in the hosts case, engagement with the politics, in jregs case, lightheartedness), while at the same time using the implied irony as a cop-out. I also think it was kept ambiguous because both parties have difficulty reading eachother. This is why i mostly hate irony, its pussy-strats imo, and the worst part is that if you use it you can claim to be an intellectual when youre actually just kind of weak. It should be used sparingly, not as a crutch.

Love him or hate him, you have to respect and appreciate the sheer volume of effort, and staggering amount of persistance to the performance, that Hasan puts into trying to use that dipsh1t california podcast raspy voice, every single time he is on camera speaking with another creator. He almost never deploys it otherwise, its extremely tactical and precise, only when hes extremely insecure about what hes saying, or who hes saying it to, but still just as hilarious, every single time. 😂😂 the piers morgan 1v1 interviews are a prestine example. Its so funny to me.

Can someone explain why Americans pronounce Israel is "isreal" every single time?
@Imsosappy
7 күн бұрын
My guess is it's because we don't have many similar pronounced words. I would also argue most people don't say is-real, even though it sounds like it, I hear is pronounced as Is-re-al/is-re-ul when said on it's own. But when people are speaking in sentences they truncate and mush together the syllabus, so it's harder to hear especially if you're not a native speaker. Similarly, when I hear British people say Israel is sounds like they are saying Is-rail. But if I really listen or hear them say the word on it's own, it sounds more like is-ri-el. Again, I think it's just being kinda mushed in speech.

The biggest reason right now, is that Hasan unabashedly supports the Houthis (has had members on his stream to talk) and Supports Hamas’ attack on Oct 7th last year (claims that it was deserved, and that this is what happens when settlers and settlers babies have a concert on close proximity to the border). He’s not just far left, he’s the furthest left one can be. Unironically says America should switch to socialism and that anyone that’s not onboard should be sent to “reeducation camps”. Also said Russia was justified in attacking Ukraine and the fears of the west are valid. He’s an “America bad” guy who is actively radicalizing his very young audience
