Interesting how these people think the amount of power a word has deems whether it should be used. Just because ‘cracker’ is weak doesn’t mean it should be used. This Kavernacle guy's understanding of history is actually elementary. He's just spits out a few buzzwords like "power structure" hoping that his audience is too uniformed and/or ideologically possessed to realize that he doesn't have a clue what the fuck he is talking about. The idea that racism started in the 1400s is laughable. The idea that history recognizes some sort of 'racial pyramid' with three classes, those being 'White British', 'Mediterranean Christian' and 'Black' is so removed from reality and nonsensical that I'm convinced that he just made it up, as it doesn't correlate with any understanding of history or any historical theories. The idea that Spaniards were somehow in a lower 'racial caste' than British, and then that they had their territory ""colonized"" by "Arab Empires" is actually just fantasy. The way that he then just glosses through that absolute bile of a historical take with phrases such as "stuff like that" as though assuming some air of authority or knowledge is beyond cringe. What a complete fucking moron.
@zoarduskhan2339
2 жыл бұрын
The claims that he made are very strange, obviously for Americans Anglo-Protestant was the baseline but that doesn't mean that """Mediterranean Christians""" were a different race. I heard this claim from Vaush too, American founding fathers were racist towards Germans and called them "swarthy", like wtf Anglos are Germanic too. I like the idea of ""Mediterranean Christians"" because it completely erases my people the Pannonian Central Europeans 😂😂😂 how great would be if my country had a sea and I could go on a summer holiday there.

I really hate this definition it's so pointless because the same kind of people who use it would agree its not okay to treat someone different for a characteristic they have no control over. Why does it need this definition? Why is it not just bad to treat people differently because of their race in general? Why did it need to change other than giving people who want to virtue signal a way to still harass people for shit they can't control and still be able to say "no no, im not racist though, that's not what it means." Is it a good thing for us to encourage racism in minorities? Even if you don't think 'reverse racism' exists, you should at least be able to reconcile that a racist member of a racial minority still shares the same unfair hatred for a group of people that racist white ancestors had in the past. In everyday discourse we understand this completely, but when it comes to institutions and online platforms, they havent necessarily got the resources and insight to determine what the probable intention is, so they have to either ban words or subjects to control what the platform is being used for, or not care and have a free for all. How do we go about measuring this? If we don't know the answer to that yet, then maybe we should stop running around calling White people racist for no fucking reason. The most offensive take in this video is his opinion on ROI when it comes to renovations. The front door is not the biggest ROI, it’s repainting the house. That’s the single best renovation you can undertake to increase the value of the home. Paint is super cheap, and it will make everything brighter, cleaner, and seem more spacious. He is right though, some renovations are a total wash. For example, having real hardwood floors put in instead of just panels. No one can tell the difference and it’s extremely expensive to do. The practice of slavery has gone on world-wide for thousands of years. It was common and widely accepted among most people of different cultures.
