Hello all! Wow, a Foozle video? Yes I am alive! (hit the like button and let YT know as well!) Anyways - life has been busy but I am still doing fun game dev things. This one captures my most recent intrigue with wave function collapse, I think it opens up a ton of fun ways to use in our games. In my absence, most notably I also spent quite some time making a .io space shooter using colyseus.io on a dedicated server and learning all sorts of things that I hope to eventually share in a video. There were several other fun tinkering I found myself investigating but as I have hinted at the end of this video, I am thinking of ways of brushing off S.M.A.S.H. with a couple of new elements that gets me excited about it again. Thanks for taking the time to watch!

I think with JavaScript there are so many interesting libraries that people can take advantage of. Been a great addition and helps people transition to coding if they want

Would loved to have seen more examples with real art. Like you showed briefly at the start. But still cool to know the capability is fairly straightforward.

Thanks! Yeah, I did it with one of Kenney’s tilesets but the rules were more complicated so I decided to keep the demo to this simple tileset. I am currently trying to do some 3D mapping to this one and hopefully will do a video on that in the future. I honestly think associated real art / overlaying it on this flexible tileset is the way to go.

would be cool if you did a quick breakkdown of the last step, how to actually convery that tile generation into level assets. im assuming you're extrapolating positions somehow.
