I take it you figured out whatever the problem was in the first destruction test video you uploaded? Exorcised the spirits or whatever? EDIT: As for feedback, if you're planning to do destruction for starships, are you going to take a ship model and divide it up into fragments like these beforehand so that they can just fall apart at the moment of destruction? One concern I might have with that approach is that it makes sense for concrete, but not so much for metal, which twists and bends more than it fractures, I would think. But maybe that's not an important detail for your purposes, I don't know. Since I'm in the process of putting together a space simulation game of my own, which includes destruction, I guess I have some preconceived opinions on this stuff. EDIT EDIT: I suppose that in the Star Trek movies where ships show destruction, they don't ever bother bending or distorting the frames of the ships, and instead we only ever see big holes appear and/or hulls detonate like they're filled with explosives (since that's exactly what happened to the models in the older movies, probably). So maybe you're more interested in reproducing the movie effects than something resembling actual realistic damage?

yes, apparently the bullet solver doesn't like it when you don't work in centimeters and pitches a fit about it lol and yeah a ship destruction sim wouldn't look anything like crumbling concrete, I'm actually doing these sims for an upcoming movie I'll be working on and the producers want to know I'll be able to handle the job since it's quite an elaborate sequence. For starship destruction I'll go with burning/scorching and the bending and distorting of the ship's frame. That's a whole other workflow I'll have to dive into once I'm done with this, but I'm glad I got the basics down with this one =)
