I want to be okay, with anything that is in front of me, whether it is what I wish for or not, to find peace, regardless of what is happening outside, and stop wanting to change it to feel better, to trust myself more than other people, to trust myself to be able to handle situations in a better way, to not be afraid of my emotions, and allow myself to feel it, knowing that things always are working on my favor even if I can’t see it now. To enjoy life even if it's not ''perfect'', to be present and enjoy what I have now so I don't wake up one day, wishing I was this age and have what I have now.

The stoics were in love with virtue. I don't think that enough to achieve happiness and bliss, tho. Trusting to divine reason, to fate, and good fortune to provide a happiness is ridiculous. Basically the dictates of the philosophy were not far off from materialism. Cars, sex, luxury, this is not the route to happiness but to disappointment. Now, if we twist their virtue a touch from defined as being governed outside the self to inside the self, well, then we are talking. Introspection, release of old emotion, acceptance of love and bliss within, this is virtue. A pure soul releases beauty. To become pure a soul lets go of attachment to others, things, even the self. That is detachment. Letting go of all that is fake identity and realizing what we really are. We are God. God revels in the different edifices erected by his creation, and it is singular. We are the creation. This separateness is illusory. Emotion is meant to be enjoyed. The serenity, the anger, the sadness, all enjoyed. It's a variety of experience meant to be sampled as entrees from Zanzibar. God is the child kept in a playroom left to entertain themselves. We are the imagined friends or villains.

Joy, your reminders to go with the flow and let it be easy are well taken. As I like to say, "let go, let be, let flow" - and at the heart of soul, it's ultimately about feeling worthy and deserving of choice, in each and every moment, in a liminal space somewhere between attachment and detachment - neither too hot nor too cold 🙏😊💚

I found this video by searching the word "detachment." I answered you out loud when you asked, "Why do you want to detach?" I said, "For my own sanity!" I have subcribed and look forward to catching up on past videos as well new one to come. 👍🙂

I do get the point of investing into my own self, but it feels.. boring. I know this concept isn't right, but giving other people the "power" over me also brings the unpredictability. The unpredictable lows and also the highs. If I depend on myself, life feels.. stagnant
@Dreamwithjoy

Mm it sounds like stability and peace is not something you're used to in your life. It's worth reflecting on what you truly value and want for yourself in life- if that thrill of unpredictability is something you genuinely want and value, or, if its just something you thought you valued because you found familiarity and comfort in it

The mind is in itself its own universe governed by the consciousness of the artist who wields dominion over everything etched on its canvas whether it derives from fear, amusement or torment, the artist holds the ability to recreate something haunting into something otherworldly potent.

When we talk about detaching and/or letting go, does that also include discontinuing the inner work that went into something? Like stop visualizing and affirming about the particular thing you're detaching from? Or do you keep on keeping on but just let go of the outcome? Thanks in advance, Joy. 😊
@Dreamwithjoy
2 ай бұрын
After detaching, you might find that you stop visualising and affirming because you now have so much trust within that it will happen and don't feel the need to do those things anymore. But if you actually enjoy doing techniques because they make you feel good or consistent, I don't see why you should stop :)

@@Dreamwithjoy Thanks so much 🙏🏼 makes sense. Meditation is just part of life, twice a day regardless. But I've visualized so much that I almost feel like I'm living a double life lol some of the stuff has materialized three-dimensionally for me. I guess it might be time to take my foot off the gas and sit in pure consciousness, let the universe unfold some of the bigger stuff on its own. 💫 I really appreciate the response and just your channel in general. 🫡

hi, thank you for this comforting video, Joy. What do you think I should do when someone is doing the things that I don't like, I confroted them ,and they didn't do anything about it? Like this one time, a friend of mkne posted a picture of me and our other friends that I din't want post on social media, I told him to delete it but he ignored my request. Should I keep telling him to delete it until he did (which brings me security and comfort) or should I ngelect my needs of privacy, let go of it, and go on with my day?

developersfound.com/TheWorldAccordingToWarwick.pdf Fear of loss and attachment go hand in hand as does fear of never having’ Detachment isn't relinquising your possessions it relinquising the fear of losing your attachments. Also things that you do not have but desire are also attachments. So sometimes you need to relinquish fear of never having.
