33-31 = 2 is MUCH smaller than 33! - 31! which is 37 digits in the 8 undecillion range!
Similar to ARML 2012 Individual Problem 1. Factorial manipulations, in particular 33! = 31!x32x33, and the natural factorization yielded 1055 as a factor which has the prime number 211 as factor. Divisibility checking all the prime numbers less than sqrt(211) finished the proof 211 is the biggest prime factor of this ginormous integer whose Hindu Arabic numeral/decimal form remains unknown!
Congrats to mathematicians Max Schindler, Missouri and Robi Bhattacharjee San Diego for their strong finishes in this much heralded math competition 12 years ago!
Quora writer Stephen L, without proof, merely asserts that miracles happen. He also stated miracles happen more around those who are very holy. He erroneously concludes that since mortal sins are far too prevalent, that miracles are less likely to occur. People who believe they see tears in the eyes of a statue of the Virgin Mary and conclude that is a miracle are delusional. It is shocking that people who are intelligent enough to understand advanced math and statistics can believe such nonsense.
