I hate this quote ngl. By itself it is fine but people seldom use this to make sweetside people to think again but... How in the living fuck can they think about others when they barely could keep themselves together? Imo it is extremely selfish to tell them this, as it is basically asking them to be empathetic when they have little to none for themselves anymore. But the quote is coolio otherwise.

I’m a wife to an amazing man and a mother to a boy and a girl…. I know first hand the struggles. My husband lost both of his parents in 2020, just 2 months after we had our son. First his mom from alcoholism, she had to be hospitalized because her body couldn’t take in any nutrients. She was 45 and only 70 pounds- and she looked like she was in her 80s- she was so frail and sick. It was heartbreaking. I couldn’t be there for him since I was home 3 hours away with our then 3 year old daughter and newborn son. My brother in laws now ex girlfriend took pictures of my deceased mother in law being held by my father in law as he cried. 3 weeks after that he had a heart attack.. He was normal and happy one second and then he had a sudden heart attack. He fell and his head on the nightstand, and knocked himself out. He had a seizure while knocked out- and died a painless death… He had just gotten out of prison after being in there for nearly 3 years… He was ready and excited to be a grandpa… he loved my kids so much… My husband of course cried and I held him, I tried my best to help him heal- and he is better now, but he gets a lot of anxiety thinking about death and he’s even more paranoid about losing me or our kids- he said he wouldn’t be able to handle it if any of us died too… And anytime he needs me to cry on- I’m always there for him because I’m his life partner. He was so excited to have his dad out of prison. They had fishing and camping trips planned. We had dinners planned and we were all excited to have him in our kids lives especially. My then 3 year old daughter who’s almost 7 now absolutely adored him. She would jump with joy when she found out her grandpa was coming over. My dad and stepmom don’t visit so I was happy to have a grandpa for our kids who I knew would have a blast with them and they would adore him… My husband is so incredibly strong. Like me he had a horrible childhood. His parents were unfortunately drug and alcohol addicts, he was allowed to drink alcohol at 8 years old and get drunk, and he was allowed to chew tobacco at that age too. My husband got adopted by his dad’s big sister when he was a freshman in high school, and my husband was finally raised properly- away from drugs and alcohol. He thinks I’m strong too- but I’m not anywhere near as strong as he is. My dad and stepmom abused me physically and verbally for years- I was put into their custody at 6 years old, and the abuse started at 8. Choking, kicking, smacking, slamming me to the floor, dragging me across the popcorn ceiling, spanking me until I couldn’t feel him hitting me any more- leaving me with hand shaped bruises all over me the next day. I won’t even go into the verbal and mental abuse- mainly by my stepmom because I could literally write a whole chapter in a book about her. (Which I may write a book someday). My husband heard the life I had as a kid/teen and told me he doesn’t know how I can still talk to them. He thinks that makes me strong but I’m very weak. I’m scared of losing my family even though they kicked me out of the family a few months after I turned 16 because I got my stepbrother into juvenile detention for SA. I was hated so much by them all but I for some reason love them. 🤷🏻♀️ My husband is extremely strong. He could have ended up into drugs and alcohol but we both met right after high school when we were 18 and 10 years later we are just as strong. My husband works so hard- he works at a tire shop and he busts his butt off each and every single day. He gets the weekends off and I try to make his days off relaxing and I won’t disturb him if he’s playing a video game. And if he ever needs to rest, I help rub his back. I rub his back every night to help him sleep and it also lets him know that I appreciate all that he does. I can’t even describe the love and appreciation I have for him- he’s an amazing man. Men’s mental health needs to be taken more seriously. My husband tries putting on a tough face even though he’s going through a lot mentally. He’s scared of looking weak, but I tell him all the time he can come to me if he ever needs to.

My brain once said- " Just give up, Just give up u dont even have anything", then i thought my brain is right, but then out of nowhere my best friend came who is my heart and said- "dont give up, look at yourself, not others, stop caring about others, no matter what God always thinks your the first in human race, its the same for everybody ❤"
