Family friend grew up in this area in the early1930's (still alive today in his mid 90s). He in the early 1980s went back looking for old house on the corner was gone as well as the hardware store his father ran. Now? demolish and plant trees, make something of the land to at least create lumber. There is no alternative this city as the jobs are not coming back and the boundary of Detroit is large enough to fit both Boston and San Francisco inside. People are not coming back.

During the housing crash in 08, many of the defaulted homes and properties all around the country became available on the worldwide market. These areas will be revived, but not in any conventional manner we are familiar with. Once our banks struggled and merged with larger banks, these assets were assumed and are now available to 'investors' in many countries.
