This game is easily my 2nd favorite memory as a Tiger fan (obviously behind Magglio's walk off) because of how they celebrated. Carrying Leyland off the field on their shoulders then coming back out to party with the fans! Love it.

Usually when the matter comes up about buying players to buy titles it usually refers to a team that had only one or no high caliber player in place. The Tigers score 887 runs last season. With the addition of Cabrera and Renteria the sky is the limit. Where your offense is a dull as dishwater our offense will be the prime time in the MLB.

Great amazing baseball song! To think Terry Cashman started his singing career with a group called The Chevrons with a national hit song called (Lullabye) circa 1960, followed by a album called (Sing A Long Rock N' Roll) Than later penn and sang Talking Baseball, Willie, Mickey, and the Duke. Terry never stop talking musical baseball!

I recall the confounding nature of ESPN in the '06 season. The Tigers at one point were 40 games over .500 and they would still show Crankee highlights and Blow Sux highlights first. You were lucky if you saw the Tigers highlights half way through Sports Center or even Baseball Tonight. The only way you'd see the Tigers right away is if they played one of those two pansy teams.

Quite frankly, I think that barring any unforeseen circumstances the Detroit Tigers will warrant much publicity, however, I believe that "Fox Sports Coverage" moreover ESPN will provide more prevalent game coverage for the Tigers. As the season approaches I'm sure many critics and sports mediums will argue that the Detroit Tigers are a team to be reckoned with thus prompting more potential media coverage consideration.

The Dodgers tried negotiating this matter as you point out - do you recall Billy Ashley. This guy was the next "real deal" in the MLB compared to the likes of many great power-hitters in MLB history. Billy Ashley came and went as fast as he came in. Then the Dodgers purchased player - Kevin Brown, Shawn Green, etc. and the sports world even made them title contenders and look what they wound up as - decadence and discomfiture always has become the Dodgers in the past two decades!

Well, just like they were absent in 2005 and 2006 I don't see it no differently this season for the Blow Sux. I feel the difference for them was Lowell's break out season. The first time in 10 seasons Lowell batted over .300 and drove in a career high in runs. Our team's offense will hopefully dictate are prowess & dominance overall. With this in mind maybe our pitching staff will feel more confident. I only hope they show more Indian and Tigers games in general. I'm sick of this NY/Loston shit!

One may see that ensconced within your response is incongruous correlation to this Tigers team. A lot of these Tigers are capable of obtaining 185 hits or better. The '95 team top hits leader was Carlos Baerga with 175. Also on that point - these Tigers are extra base contact hitters. They have shown they can hit for averages well above .300. In the long run you'll be run out of town. The '95 Indians choked. The 2006 Tigers??? But our time is now. "Pick Your Poison" with these Detroit Tigers!

I'll I can tell you is that it's all about clutch hitting when it comes down to offensive teams in the playoffs World Series. Can Cleveland inure themselves along this? I hold strongly that our avoirdupois offense by way of multiple contact hitters will abound of above all in the playoffs/WS!!

If let alone one person can hit on your team .300 + with 20 + homeruns and 100 + RBIs I'll be amazed. Victor Martinez would be the only one too once again if indeed so! That's it! If fervent sentiments are running through you about your team's upcoming season it would only be about your two all-star pitchers. From a personal standpoint - I'm more concerned about the Angels and Red Sox. Perfidiousness runs deep in me about your Tribe's offense regardless!!

It's been quite annoying as to why ESPN hosted that series "The Bronx Is Burning" of which I didn't watch one single episode. The 1998 New Yankees offense was one of the best offensive teams in the Majors that season that featured a relatively discreet pitching staff!! Review history and you'll find several teams that had juggernaut offenses that won titles without even a moderate pitching staff. You can't win if you don't score. We have a good pitcher in Verlander. The Indians are like a National League team. In 2006, the Tigers were like a national league team. We gave you your worst road loss in Crankee history last season a 16-0 shellacking and 3 hits to go with no runs. If there are any "HMMMMM's" here between NYY and the Detroit Tigers it wouldn't take much of a intellect to deduce a team that blows a 3-0 playoff series lead is a mess. Regular season glory is one thing but like us you all didn't win nothing and to say the least didn't get to the World Series. Indians offense is well subservient to our Tigers! Willis to me is superfluous to us. Our concern is having that offense clicking on all cylinders that way our pitching staff will have a comfortable lead.
