These flasher controllers are available from several places online but I picked this one up from www.realcustomtrucks.com for under $50 at the time of this video. I have no affiliation with this website other than having a good customer experience.

It's a good day when we get to see the Deuce. BC it was cool how you got that closing aerial shot of the Deuce by hacking into the live video of the satellite which the government has tasked with monitoring you and the Deuce.

Hey BC we had the exact same turn signal and headlight units on the M-151A1 US Army Jeep we had in our Lance Missile Firing platoon. The only other wheeled we had in our platoon was a Dodge M-880 ( POC ). Our primary vehicle was our M-752 tracked missile launcher. It was a variation of the M-113 APC family of tracked vehicles. Now that I think of it, I recall the track had the standard military vehicle running light multi switch but it had no turn signals. Your hands were busy with one on each lateral to steer the beast with. Our A&T platoons used extended bed 5 Tons and Deuce and a Halfs ( which had that sweet supercharger whistle ) that had the same turn signal switch you have.

Now I'm just imagining the hwy patrol from Super Troopers trying to pull over a mobile missile launcher for failing to signal while changing lanes.

@@deuceandguns Haha what would be even funnier is if the Highway patrolman pulled his car in front of me on a hill and the buttons on top of the steering laterals which, when you pulled the laterals to the rear and pressed down on them, would lock them to the rear as a parking brake were not working. Highway patrolman: OK buddy, let me see your hands. Me: Uhhh, officer that would not be a good idea. Highway patrolman: I said put your hands out the side of the cool tracked vehicle and show me your hands!!!! Me: Well OK officer. ( Removes hands from both steering laterals ) 12 Tons of Aluminum and steel roll forward over Highway patrol car.

I have a 1986 M927a2 and the front amber turn signal lights do not seem to work as running lights. I did not see yours on in your video either...is this normal? Have a flasher relay and turn signal switch on the way to see if I can get the directionals to work.

What is the max speed of a deuce? Cause I've seen it on your dash that it's 45 mph....is that a convoy speed for the military or the max speed for the whole truck?
@wildbill23c
5 жыл бұрын
They'll go faster, usually about 55mph, but best cruising speed is around 45mph...the thing that really limits their speed is the gearing, but they're built to haul and pull not race.

I did the running light conversion (it is simple plug and play kit) so my signal bulbs also illuminate constant when headlights are on and blink on the side you are signaling. Shane

Hey Deuce, got a question. I have a deuce that runs, and all the lights worked when I bought it, but now it starts and runs, but no lights anywhere - none, not flashers, not dash lights, headlights, nothing. Can a ground do that? Thanks!
@deuceandguns
5 жыл бұрын
Yes, and here are two ides off the top of my head. #1. If everything else is getting power other than the lights that sounds like an issue with the Deuce's famously over complicated light switch. The switch has an internal breaker that can trip due to a short or just from internal corrosion. I'd start looking to see if power/ground was getting to the switch first and if so see what power was being output. It may need a good internal/connector cleaning or something may be shorted out causing the breaker to open. #2. Very rare but it could be a bad/dirty/poor battery/generator connection causing the generator to over charge the system and blow every bulb on the truck. Check a few bulbs and see if they're all blown and if so go through the main connections on the generator and batteries.

I don't get it , I have power to the buzzer that starts when you go to start the deuce, but no headlights, dash, 4x4 light works sometimes... I just put in a new battery, so I know the battery connections are good - besides it starts like a dream#@! I had replaced the turn signal switch when I first got the truck, and it worked good. But after not turning on the power to the lights, now I have nothing. It will be warming up soon up here in NY, so I can't wait to get back at it! Thanks! Keep the deuce vids coming!

Mine actually never worked, my deuce was a farm truck for the past 20 years and never had the soft top on it so after replacing almost everything interior wise and repainting the truck I always had headlights but no blinkers or 4 ways. I didn’t know much about the system and my buddy has a deuce parts truck so I just swapped the switch out to try that first and got blinkers instantly so that was easy enough for me
