I have a BIG marble slab that's super flat that will work. Thanks for the video.

I have since gotten a granite slab as well. I really like the system and use it a lot. Thanks for watching and commenting.

How do you handle the 3rd blade. I would assume you would have to use one of the blades as a place holder that goes against the glass rather than the sandpaper.

Thanks for watching Michael. I don't have three blades but if you watch the video from the inventor of the jig, kzitem.info/news/bejne/qp2XqqSYfZqdpqg at about 6:45 into the video he demonstrates how to do it. He rotates the three blades out on each girt. Hope that helps- I just honed a couple of brand new blades and it really made a big difference in the the finished wood.

Maybe better take a second to clean the blades before going to the next grit, avoiding contamination.

@@LSatch I finally make mine out of two pieces of scrap angle iron, all metal construction with ugly welding. Works but nowhere near the precision or aesthetics of the Deulen jig.

@@kimchee94112 if it works it works. No one is going to see the welds and you have the satisfaction of making it yourself! Winner winner chicken dinner.
