One thing - out of many - that Devacurl taught me was how scrunching your hair before drying really helps with curl formation. I never knew how magical it is, it really does make your more defined and springy. Thanks so much!

What I've learned from you and Devacurl is that you need to invest in your hair for it to flourish. Not only do you need to invest in great products but you also need to invest a lot of your time and energy. One example being taking out extra time at night to massage your scalp with essential oils and pick your hair up into a pineapple and into a bonnet to protect your hair while you sleep. Doing this was a major key in my hair journey which has made my hair grow a lot and save me time and product in the mornings. I can say that in the last 10 months of my hair journey nothing has helped me more than consistently dedicating time, energy and great products into my hair.

I'm the only one in my family with curly hair, and so growing up I never knew what to do with my hair. I found a stylist who introduced me to devacurl and I learned so much about how important the maintenance of your hair is. All the way from no sulfates when shampooing to the importance of proper hair cuts. Thanks for these tips!

Something I've learned from deva curl and from using their products is that having healthy curls sometimes means having to put in some money, but it's worth it. Yes there are products that are cheap and get the job done but "getting the job done" doesn't compare to making your curls thrive by using a product that may be a little more pricier.

Something I've learned and really enjoy about DevaCurl is how they take into consideration all curl types with textures. There is no one way to do something and take care of our hair. The new modifications make it less intimidating also to try out the products that work for us, it's awesome :) I've also learned how or why certain things would happen to our hair such as it getting tangled a lot because of not being hydrated, scrunching with a microfiber towel so your hair doesn't weigh so much to create volume. It's been a great journey so far knowing more about my hair. I appreciate this video and your efforts :)

Many years I have had damaged hair, dyed, flat ironed, used wrong essentials that I thought was a necessity. Destroying my beautiful curls that the Lord has so graciously given me, to a point where I am wanting to consider shaving my hair all off and start again with no damage. I regret what I have done to my hair and every day I'm sorry....being able to see you and your hair journey makes me so very amused and happy because I know with proper care that is suited so well with curly texture, you can revive such amazing, head turning, silky smooth, strong, defined curls...and that's what I want back! I love watching your videos because you display an awesome hair care routine that I would love to achieve, transact on myself.

What I've learned most outside of technique is patience and confidence in my curls. It may sound a little "deep" but it's true. There's a sisterhood of sorts that you bond with another curly haired girl. It's the fight for definition, minimal frizz and constant questions from strangers that ask if your hair is "yours"!?! The tips and best practices are fantastic and always inspire me to be kind to my hair but also myself, it's a process and you have to enjoy the journey too appreciate the outcome :)

I kept trying to cut my hair short because it seemed to me that the curls looked better. I started researching and trying to find ways to bring back my curl. Lots of trials and tribulations.... needless to say I found deva curl products in target and KZitemd different methods.... one thing I learned and live by.... PATIENCE.... you have to have lots of it when dealing with curly hair. You have to know your curl type and understand what works and doesn't....now I have curls for days and still I try and learn something new to keep adding to my curls. Thank you so much for posting such great curly hair videos! I have to say I am completely new to DevaCurl. However, getting the "Curly Hair Handbook" written with the help of the Lorraine Owner of DevaCurl, and following their videos, channel etc I never knew that cutting the hair dry (curly) would actually help give you a better understanding of where and how your hair will look. I always had my hair cut wet yet I always had my hair blown out. Now that I am going completely curly and no more Blow drying my hair straight, I have also learned that accepting you are a natural curly girl is actually a good thing! Helps me cut the time in half in the morning, I am happy in the rain and more! People pay to have curls when I had it forever , but I just did not know how to embrace my curls and always heading to the Blow dryer as a quick fix. I am lucky to have found your channel that helped me to know DevaCurl truly , their NYC salon which is great since I live in the Bronx and their amazing products will keep my natural curly hair beautiful!

I learned what ever you use I need, your curls look amazing while mine are dry, limp and don't hold. I've just started on getting my curls back from years of heat and box dye. Saw your curl transformation from damaged to healthy and I've learned so much. I learned not to use a towel to scrunch and wow what a difference. I can actually let my hair air dry and no frizz. Man I was in the dark about how to care for my curls so I took your advice and got the curly girl book and now I'm hoping to have my curls looking as good as yours with time and patience because it's been maybe 2 weeks and I got a long way to go to get healthy curls.

I never appreciated my curls that much. I would wash my hair after i had straightened it only to wish that it was straight all over again, it was a continuous never ending cycle. Then I started looking at more and more girls embracing their curly hair on Instagram. Seeing more pictures of these beautiful curls convinced me on how amazing natural curly hair is. And after many days of constant lurking on curly pages, I found felicias page on instagram and I saw all her before and after pictures and all her tips on curly hair and that was officially the day that i decided to go natural. Of course we all know how much she loves DevaCurl and since that was her go to product, and she had amazing curls, I knew I had to give them a look. I would scroll lower and lower on their page reading more about how to protect my hair and tips and tricks to how to go natural. Usually when I message other curl experts they dont answer, but Felicia always answered all my curl questions quickly and I was shocked because it was an opportunity for me to learn more quickly and start my process faster. Through following and watching Devacurls it gave me extremely helpful tips that i could use for my specific type of hair and although I recently began my transition, they have had an immense impact on the steps I take to make my hair the best it can be. So thank you so much DevaCurls! I will continue following your page and telling others about you guys and I hope everyone can benefit from the amazing job you guys are doing to help girls go natural!

Being a full time military wife 💏, mommy of a toddler 👶🏻 (and almost newborn👶🏼🍼) means I don't get to buy products that I love because they're unaffordable and of course Deva curl is the only line that works 100% for me! Devacurl has taught me that my curls are my own! Throughout my journey I've been admiring other curlies hair and get disappointment that my hair isn't like theirs, but with deva curl I've learned to love my own curl pattern because of how well my hair reacts using their products. One of the many things I have learned to embrace from DevaCurl and watching you, is confidence and self-love. As a current transitioner, I have a lot of days where I ask myself "Is this even worth it? Is all of the time and energy I'm using ever going to show results?". In those moments I have to remind myself that times are hard but I need to remain confident in my willpower as a young woman, a curly girl, and a Deva. I know that I could never fully dedicate myself to this journey without the hope, confidence, or self love that you and so many other Deva ladies have shown me. So, thank you for being apart of my journey in so many ways and showing curly girls the hope that so many of us need.

One word: WOW! I just found you through the DevaCurl website...and...I just found DevaCurl by chasing a woman, with the most beautiful curls I'd ever seen, out of a Rite Aid, LOL! I'm mesmerized! I already found a salon through the DevaCurl site for the cut and personal education but started cruising DevaCurl to learn more. This is the first video I found through one of their blogs and I can NOT believe that my hair looks like yours when you first get out of the shower all the time...when it could look like yours does when you were done! ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! THANK YOU for showing the entire process and the tips with the diffuser, etc! It looks like I have a lot of learning to do but I'm excited! I just turned 49 and have basically been using light creamy type products to "lock in" the wet look and keep frizz under control since I was 20 and a hair stylist turned me onto mousse. It's kept me content all these years especially since I'm a tomboy. However, I'm getting married at the end of June. So, because I need to be a princess for the day, I've been looking into possible hair designs as well as probable coloring to hide some grey, and it looks like I've found you and DevaCurl just in the nick of time! I've upgraded the products I use throughout the years to try and give my hair the best nutrients possible and it looks like I'm in for another "upgrade". THANK YOU AGAIN!

Love these products!! I think the biggest thing I have learned from the deva curl blog is that all of their products have endless uses past the ones listed. They can really work in so many different ways together, and so differently on everyone's curl type. If I try a product by itself and I don't like my results, I always give it a few more tries with different applications or in cocktails before I decided it's not for me. Never had to toss a deva product though! I always find a way that they're perfect for my curls. Thanks for taking the time to make the video! Very informative! I've learned how to give your hair more volume without causing frizz & in all honesty, I thought however my hair dries, will be how it'll look. Basically, I didn't know I could manipulate the look. I've been wanting to get my curls healthy but first need to stop the flat ironing & cut off the damaged parts. Thanks for your videos! I love your curls.

I'm learning SO MUCH. Sorry in advance for the long comment. I have 3b hair when it's styled right but lately it's been like a 2c. So I need to try different products lol. Your hair is so gorgeous, I have major curl envy. I think I'm going to get the Devacurl dryer, it looks a lot gentler than any other diffuser and my hair tends to frizz even with a diffuser, so I've always air dried. But when my curly stylist did it, my hair looked amazing! Using a pick at the roots for volume is something I never thought to do either. So much to try to figure out my hair lol. My daughter's got less curls so I'm trying to figure us both out and it's overwhelming! Thanks for the videos and the giveaway!

The biggest thing I learned is patience , and that's with anything . If your coming back from damage , if your looking for what works for your hair , and even being patient while defusing and waiting for your hair to fully dry . Being patient is what gets you to really love your hair . I also really liked the curl spectrum video on devacurls page took patience to figure out my curl pattern as well .

Thank you so much for your videos! My favorite is probably your hair journey video. You and your curls are so inspiring. After about a decade of constantly straightening my hair i am learning to love my curls and want to take way better care of my hair. I've always had a lot of hair so my mom started sending me to the salon in 1st grade. Since people always did it for me, I never learned how to properly take care my hair for myself. But now I'm determined to rehab my hair. I've even ordered the curly girl handbook. I learned from the devacurl youtube that my curl type is 2/3 and the decadence line could work best for me because of my curl type and because my hair is also colored. I need the moisture and that's one of the most important parts.

Big thank you for another awesome and helpful video Felicia. One of my many Devacurl tips that I learned is to always massage your sculp when washing and conditioning your hair. This will encourage growth and breaks away build up. I've been using Devacurl products for almost 5 months now and I'm so happy with my results 😊

Hi! I've been completely heat free for 3 months. I was truly inspired by your journey and desire to help others with your experience. I've read the curly handbook and enjoyed the life changing information. I've been using Devacurl and continued watching your videos as well as Devacurls tutorials. I'm already a subscriber to your channel and have just added Devacurls channel. Best thing I've learned is applying my products when hair is still wet. It's reduced a TON a frizz lol. Also, making sure I set my hair up before bedtime so the mornings are quicker to refresh and run out Super happy to have shared your video as well. XOXOXO

I'm new to devacurl and received my order last week. I fell in love with the nopoo conditioner. It leaves your hair soo soft. I do have to say it took me a long time because I thought the products were a little expensive but I have seen so many reviews that I had to buy it. One thing I learn from their videos was maximizing volume. I was diffusing the wrong way. 😍😍👌🏽

Devacurl has taught me to love my hair even on the out of control frizz days. It's taught me how to manage frizz and create defined curls but with tons of volume- thank you Devacurl for allowing me to see the true beauty in my curly hair!

The key to managing curly healthy hair is moisture... And lots of it even though the amount necessary one day won't be the same as another day.

I learned that I'm not the only one who has been curl shamed and made to feel bad about having my curls. I'm happy to have my curls and love to embrace my hair for what it is. It's comforting knowing that I'm not the only person who has gone through it and that having the hair I do is perfectly okay and natural.

Daniella Gutierrez Imagine having kinky nappy hair. Im 4c but I call it 4z. The professional world doesn't accept it, I had to wear wigs or relax. They call nappy hair wild and not fit for a professional environment. But I am learning to be no matter what. I have been relaxers free for 6 years now.

I've been following you and Devacurl for a while now and I've learned so many things! One, being patient when doing your hair! The diffuse process can take a while but it is worth it. Also, that the dry cut is very important for curly hair. If you cut your hair wet then your curls won't be shaped like you'd like them to. Thank you Felicia for you videos and your FB group! It keeps me wanting to keep up with my curls each day!

The DevaCurl brand is the very first curly product brand that I had ever tried (years ago) and they have been my #1 go to ever since. I have learned tons of tips and tricks from their posts, videos, and various ambassadors, but the most important piece of information that I have learned from the DevaCurl brand is that EVERYONE should be able to love their curls! DevaCurl has helped me to put down the straightener and welcome my curls with open arms and I couldn't be happier.. and I'm sure that many other curlies also share this same experience! 💚🌀

Devacurl has been a life changing product for me! I actually started using these products because of you! It seems lately I've been seeing in the news young girl's being sent home from school because their hair is "too big" or not "professional" enough , and it just angers me and saddens me. What I learned from you, and deva curl is to embrace those curls girls and boys you are all beautiful! Devacurl products makes those curls pop, and you can be whatever you want to be!

I'veen learned so much from devacurl product tips, blogs and your super useful tips. I'm very grateful that I found you scrolling down looking for styling curly hair videos 8 months ago. Thanks to you I found and learn about devacurl products and get in love. I learned what products to used in my hair, about my curl type, how to style my hair. How to apply my products, how to style second day hair. But the most important thing that I've learned is how to love my curls and be happy with my natural texture. I just want to say thank you for take the time to teach us about love ourselves not just the hair.

I have learned so much so much from watching your videos using the deva curl products. I went from being someone who absolutely hated my hair for being so curly to loving it and embracing it for its uniqueness and thanks to deva curls and all its amazing products. It's so hard to find curly hair products that help define my curls and nourish them at the same time and Deva curl gives me all that and more. I'm so grateful for coming across your page it has educated me a lot on how to keep a good maintenance on my hair. Deva Curl has become an essential product I use on my hair I don't know what I'll do without Supercream! 😀 Last but not least I'll like to thank you for being super nice and helpful with all our questions you're the best 👍🏼

I have learned from the deva curl channel to focus shampoo on the roots of my hair rather than the ends. I love how their new packaging is color coated. It is so much easier to pick what is right for you. I have tried the trial kits but can not afford to buy the bigger sizes. I miss the way my curls look with devacurl tbh

There is SO MUCH I have learned from ALL your videos and other posts. I am so glad to have found you as a fellow "curly friend"!!! In this video I learned a few things. 1. that it is OK to use enough product to where it has a "milky" residue on your hands. I have been doing my daughter's hair with all your tips and this particular tip assured me that I am doing it the RIGHT way. :) 2. I also learned to keep your shirt or micro towel in the same spot to prevent frizz; I had always moved the shirt around to a dry spot to keep from my princesses curls to be soaking wet...which now I know the wetter, the better! ;) 3. Lastly, I learned that you don't have to ALWAYS do as the bottle says to do; I have been using the believe-in the exact way as it says with ONLY scrunching in their hair while head is flipped forward. 4. Also been confirmed that the more product you use the better results you'll get. Thank you, F3licia for all your wonderful curl tips! We are going on week 3 with our DEVACURL journey and being a mom of 3 curlies it has made our mornings much better!! "Happy curling!" 💚💚

From Devacurl, I've learn to use the no-poo only on my scalp and not on my entire hair. To use warm water when using no-poo and then use cold water when rinsing out the one condition to avoid frizz.
