We left Mumbai at 4 AM in our private vehicle and traveled 170 km to reach Devkund Waterfall, which took us about 5 hours.
Located in Raigad, Maharashtra, the waterfall can be accessed via two base villages: Patnus and Bihra. We were directed to the Patnus base by the locals.
There is ample parking at the start of the trek. You’ll need to pay a ₹300 fee per person for trekking, which includes a briefing on the route and how to return. However, a personal guide isn't necessary, as the path is well-marked and the villagers are helpful.
The trek to the waterfall is a 12 km round trip. It took us 6 hours to climb up and 2 hours to descend.
Suggestion : To fully enjoy the trek without feeling rushed, it's best to start early in the morning. Note that visitors are not allowed at the waterfall after 4 PM, so plan your hike accordingly.
FAQ : Devkund is known to be the origin of Kundalika River
