I already enjoyed Koudelka’s work but having the privilege to see it at an extensive exhibition putting together Gipsies/Exiles/Prague down here in Sao Paulo, Brazil, was quite an experience, to understand how he makes us the viewers to pay more attention to each of his images, requiring an extra second to understand the details he is revealing/hiding and pushing up those same details to the light of our minds… amazing!

@@developingtank I think it's fine to pronounce internationally known names of the currently used language - you don't pronounce any of the brand names, or cities (PaRi') as they are in their original language either. That being said, should be closer to "Yozef Koodelka". And thanks for another fine video!
@developingtank

@andras_ikladi yeah, agreed. I lean towards trying to say artists names how they would say them, but it’s incredibly hard in some languages. The Eikoh Hosoe voice over tested my patience.

@@developingtank Just do it like in China. Recipe: 1, If it's a Western name, confuse the surname with the first name and say it transcribed to Mandarin: "Do you like the work of Yalikesi?" (that would be Alex and they mean Alex Webb, most likely) 2, If it's a Japanese name, read the Japanese kanji directly in Chinese: "How about Shenshan Dadao?" (Daido Moriyama)
