I've had a Worx Hydroshot for years now. The number one mistake people make it to think that these are for washing cars, that is not their intended purpose. If you're at home you probably have access to either a garden hose or 120V for a real pressure washer. These are really meant for portability. A good example is if you take your bicycle on a trail and it gets all muddy you can use one of these cleaners to rinse the mud off before putting the bike in the back of your SUV - that kind of thing. These are not meant to replace a pressure washer.

I also have the hydroshot. I use it to wash my car in the garage during the winter. I can wash and rinse with only a 5 gallon bucket. Most of the water on the floor drys up within a day or even when its below freezing out. no heat in garage.

The main selling point on this one is that it can suck water from a bucket for cleaning. I've been using it for indoor cleaning mostly. it pairs up pretty nice with a shopvac for doing the rugs. But, I'm also in the situation where I am limited on how much current I can pull from an outlet. So this works fairly ideal.

@@leojohnwayne1422 I use optimum no rinse as my rinseless wash. I mix it in a 5 gallon bucket and run it through my airless paint sprayer. I spray my vehicle down one panel at a time and use the red sponge optimum no rinse suggest. You can get away with a tiling sponge. After that, I switch to a 5 gallon bucket of demineralized water. You can buy a few gallons of distilled water from the gas station or in my case I have a spot free carwash setup that I run the water through. I rinse off the optimum no rinse and that's it. I don't have to dry it off because i used demineralized water. It's spot free and pretty easy to do. A few things that I want to change. First I don't like using my nice airless sprayer for this because it usually needs to have the lines cleared out really well before hand because there's latex paint in it. Second its way over kill for the job. I paid a 1k for the sprayer. A cheaper harbor freight sprayer will suffice and it won't need to be used for anything other than that. Also always wear a mask. That stuff is harsh when its inhaled. The sprayer puts out enough pressure safely remove rocks, salt, and grime and at the same time not putting water everywhere in your garage.

I've had my DeWalt 20-volt pressure washer for about 3 months now. I've used it to clean my solar panel array on my roof and have found it to be indispensable. I cannot get a corded pressure washer up on my roof so the cordless DeWalt unit is a game changer. The pressure is adequate to clean my panels. My only complaints are that the trigger cannot be locked in the on-position . . . after several minutes, my hand gets fatigued. I agree with you about the questionable use of plastic on the hose connection as well as the battery housing. I also agree with you about the wand length . . . its simply too long. Don't even get me started on the lousy soap dispenser, but thankfully other soap dispensers work with it.

Foam Dispenser = the correct definition. Foam Canon it is not. A proper cannon with a small orifice would do what is expected. Dewalt hurt themself by adding something so useless. Most pressure washers warn about running the pump without water. With a hose you can flow water through the washer before starting it to remove air. Using the bucket suction option, it would seem unavoidable that the pump will run dry while water is sucked up. Would you think this is a concern? Bucket operation is a major redeeming feature of this product. Obviously, you will not know if the dry priming while using a bucket will shorten the pump life, but could you tell me how long it typically runs until water gets to the pump? Is there any simple method to get air out prior to operating the washer when using a bucket?

We installed an ADA compliant shower 20 or so years back. The fold down seat support mechanism has always been a beast to clean, many tight spots where soap and hair will collect. Hot water and harsh cleaners performed fairly well but still the stubborn bits of crud needed manual scrubbing. This tool eliminates the detail scrubbing and with regular use should make the harsh chemicals unnecessary in the future. I expect to find a number of other odd jobs around the house and shop for it to tackle but for my initial intended use it is nearly ideal. Definitely needs a shorter wand, will be rooting through the collection of pressure washer junk in the shed this summer to see if anything out there fits. I put a zero degree tip on it and the improvement in performance is stunning.

Bought mine a while back. I intend to use it in winter to rinse off the vehicles and for remote cleaning, where I can't get a hosed PW. It's not worth it at just 550 psi for cleaning jobs where you can get the corded or gas PW to reach. The soap dispenser is useless and I don't know how DeWalt had the guts to release it. A $20 one off Amazon with the small orifice works great in comparison. The nozzle tube is too long. Half the length would be great. The bucket works, but the suction ”sputters” every so often and you lose pressure. Raising the bucket helps, but only a little. A garden hose does give better pressure, but you have to avoid stressing that filter. The battery compartment is not waterproof! It is expensive for what it is, but it's the only option with more than 350 psi. So far!

I just got the DeWalt 20v with the intention of using it to clean road grime off our cars in the winter when above freezing, and keep the washing mess and ice away from the front of the garage. I thought it worked great even with the 550psi pressure. Two pre-rinses took virtually all the dirt off (but the car does have ceramic coats). My only issue is that the soap bottle barely worked. Soap dribbled out just a couple of feet, and thought something was wrong with it until I tried a soap bottle from my larger pressure washer and it did the same thing. I’m going to get a smaller orifice for my Adam’s foam cannon and try that next even though the cannon shouldn’t be used with less than 850 psi. Was hoping to find a cordless pressure washer with portable water tank in lower 1000 psi range, but nothing affordable really exists yet.

Ok I got it now …great for a person living in desert 🌵, has tons of of time to waste , lives near lake , is always on the go …….wants to be able to turn down the already pathetic pressure. Btw when I would point my unit at my houses siding …it stopped spraying ? Point nothing . Lower sprays , point nothing , lower sprays ? How frustrating can you imagine that being ? Also I initially used unit to attempt ! To remove some Spiderwebs on my siding eves …….the Spiderwebs won 🥇! It had no effect on the spiders webs . ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!

I see it more as a gadget than a useful tool. But hey, still pretty cool. I'm sure somebody has a trade or project this would be perfect for.

Did you try it with HOT WATER

Worx makes this for them .. Alot of new products coming out for DeWalt are actually made by outside companies. So warranty after your original warranty expires will get challenging. Alot of DeWalt compressors are all aftermarket now. It's sad. But this is how they are going Great review thou.

Nice since I’ve been using my Worx pressure washer for years.

Would this work from a bucket of water?

Yes. That is probably where it has the best use.

They are good for cleaning ponds after you drain em so you don’t puncture the liner That’s what I use mine for. Clean the rocks etc

Tried using it today. Could not get it to create a draft at all from a full bucket. Hooked up a hose and it was a complete mess. I love 99% of my DeWalt tools but this one sucks.

This thing aint powerful for cars but it works wonders on AC condenser coils without damaging the fins, we use them on roof too units when a hose and cord is too long to run

I thought this would be ideal to blast mildew off the pool deck and railings using the water from the pool, but not enough pressure apparently.

I watched a few of these during lockdown, I tend to see a pattern, Dewalt, Milwaukee seems to get good fairly easy reviews, anything by Ryobi you grind the guts out of it, you need to compare like for like Ryobi do a pressure washer, Worx and other brands do, they are all good in their own right if you don't have access to mains power.

Not True. I hammered this just like I would any other tool with plastic fittings I feared breaking and also that the limited use. I applauded the Ryobi electric Pressure Washer we reviewed last year. I recommend it to many. BUT, if a company wants to come out and say they have a construction rated tool, I will test it that way. The Ryobi HP line was said to be construction ready.
