My wife bought me one for Fathers Day and I like it really well . I built myself a fill station out of scrap lumber for it at just the right height so I do not have to pick it up with 4 gallons in it to strap in. I just back up to the table and strap the harness on and walk away ! It is so easy that way . And absolutely love the brass adjustable nozzle because with that I really see no need for the others as of yet .

QUICK TIP - MINE WOULDNT SPRAY, RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX... I purchased this yesterday. Straight out of the box it would not spray. I could hear the pump humming but no pressure. After double checking everything, still... no go! I drove up to HD, frustrated, thinking I had a faulty pump. I returned it & purchased another... Same problem!!! HOW I FIXED IT... Inside the reservoir there is a red and white filter, you cant miss it. Un-screw the filter... Stick your garden hose right into the inlet valve... Power on the sprayer (I had mine set to 7) and then immediately turn on your hose. The added pressure of the hose shooting directly into the inlet valve was enough to effectively "prime the pump" and it started working immediately. Re-installed the filter and was good go. This sort of troubleshooting tip was not included in the owners manual. It should be, given it happened with two separate machines.

Sprayer with the brass nozzle was great, BUT now I let it sit for a couple weeks.. and after cleaning the extra acryllic stain, running water through the hose until clear... the whole bottom of the unit keeps pumping clear water and leaking out of the bottom? Had no issue new >> doing stain work >> let some excess stain inside >> water clean out... now leaks?

Can you use this sprayer to pressure wash if you put the orange jet stream nozzle on? I have an old building here that I had painted at least 20 years ago and it's badly peeling. I thought it would be more affordable for me to do this rather than rent or buy a pressure washer. I've never pressure washed before and feel uncomfortable with the idea of doing that with a pressure washer. I started out scraping the paint off the building and at this rate I won't even get it painted this year. I need some faster method.
@AndiWofford
Жыл бұрын
Cathy, I don’t think you’ll get enough pressure out of it to remove paint. You’re better off with something simple like this: amzn.to/43aqKlO - I have this same dewalt pressure washer. It’s small, lightweight, and if the paint is peeling like you say, you should be able to get it off for you with much less headache

@@AndiWofford Oh darn, I was hoping that the Dewalt backpack sprayer that I have would work for that job. I'm glad you replied or I would have tried that for nothing. I checked out that Dewalt pressure washer by clicking on the link you gave me and it seems to be very nice. I like that it's not real high powered. I kind of don't trust myself with those washers that have a couple thousand psi. This one that you mentioned looks like it would do the job and is compact rather than bulky, which is another thing that I like about it. I think Dewalt is a good brand, so I'm really leaning towards buying this washer. Thanks for recommending it.
@AndiWofford

It's very compact; we use it to clean our patio surfaces and spray off the house. It's not too powerful as to do damage to things, but it should be powerful enough to get some already-peeling paint off. Best of luck with your project! Let me know how it turns out!

@scruffy4647

@@AndiWofford Not really an issue. The weight decreases as you use it. Probably works good for its intended use. I have a lot of cordless Dewalt tools so extra batteries wouldn't be an issue. I haven't looked at it closely but it comes with extra spray nozzles and I am not sure if you can adjust the pressure. I live out in the country with about 1200' of 4 rail vinyl fencing so this could work. I use 30 second cleaner, which is bleach based, so not sure if the pump is suitable.
@AndiWofford
Жыл бұрын
If I had 1200' feet, I'd fill that puppy up and deal with the weight rather than making 10 trips back to the hose 😂. You could also look at ATV or trailer mounted sprayers with that much to do. I've not had even a single green battery bar drop while using it (with 2 amp hr battery) so it seems pretty efficient from a battery perspective. And you can absolutely change nozzles for the spray pattern and there's a flow adjustment on the side as well. To your other point, are there any sprayers rated to handle bleach? If I was truly worried about that, I might get a cheaper sprayer than this one. Honestly, as long as you clean it out after use, it might be fine. Best of luck with your projects!
