I've found qcf crouch dashes doing the same thing with the down input. This buffer basically eliminates human error when timing the move. If it could not be done (and as I've seen many times with frame-by-frame input overlays) it becomes almost impossible to hit every single direction for only one frame. At least Taunt Jet Upper is slightly easier in that aspect because you are just hitting the stick or d-pad back and forth. But you need an extremely fluid motion for PEWGF or any regular -14 punish with EWGF for it to work.

I actually figured this out as well on my copy of Tag 2 on Xbox 360, I screen captured last year and couldn't believe it. I input F 5 frames earlier than Kazuya recovered and still got it.. weird that nobody ever talks about this.

Regardless if the PEWGF is buffered or not, you’re still launching because of frames respectively. Notice how it disappears when the input is made. kzitem.info/news/bejne/0mOJq3dvm6tmmG0 Here 2:13 (in the video I provided a link to) you’ll noticed the Electric Effect I use as a visual key to confirm when to input ➡️

F of any f neutral move for characters who have f neutral as a stance is always bufferable and can be considered as a stance buffer than actual buffer. So in other words what happens here is ch df2 hold f to enter the misstep i think it is called as a stance than out of misstep do a neutral for 1 frame and frame perfect df2 which will give a pewgf. This is however no easier than the regular method of doing the thing because the difficulty people have is with when to actually press f or in this case when to let it go and than do a pewgf. So this doesn't help first problem for sure but for the second problem it may be easier to do pewgf while holding f for some people it certainly doesn't make a difference for me honestly. Similar thing is possible with lei on block punishment but it is much harder and way less rewarding than chdf2 pewgf. The reason is in order to do that with lei you need muscle memory of how many block frames are there for any move you want to punish and in tekken there are over 300 moves which optimally would be punished by fn4,1,2 by lei but because block frame differences are quite a lot it is very rare i would argue in an actual much even more rare than chdf2 5 ewgf b2,1 on miguel.

I think calling it a buffer wouldn't be appropriate. You're holding forward until the game inputs it on the first frame out of stun lock (or hit animation I guess). You input n on the second frame after df2 and ur electric still comes out on the 13th frame. I guess this would make this a double just frame instead of triple tho so "technically" it's easier.

@@samurainuke7757 in fairness it's reasonable to think that you could also buffer the 'f' into an immeadiate 'd' with either being held for more than *1Hz* before the 'df+2' which would be a wavedash input and considering both methods are pewgfs and there is no forward movement (as it's cancelled) - well, then it really doesn't matter what it's called no matter which method you use. The only difference is that there is *1* frame of crushing in one method and not the other. Your original comment ignores the key point he's trying to highlight chief - You can buffer the input meaning, 'it's not a 3 frame window'. This for many *is* a discovery as not many analyse the game engine and how it's leniency works instead choosing to accept those who claim it's a perfect just frame input. I'm not entirely convinced by this video as I think the system is deeper than that but cba testing myself beyond my own gameplay experience so until someone puts something to counter this as concrete then it must be accepted as there is nothing substantial theory opposing this. He's also said he hasn't discovered it but rather just hasn't seen anyone post it so is doing so to spread awareness. @@CallousCyclone do you even understand why Kazuya have a PEWGF in the first place?? Looks like not. @@samurainuke7757 bruh. Any Kaz main worth their salt know there's are TWO METHODS to PEWGF. Read carefully... Mist Step version : f, n, df+2 Wavedash Version : f, d, df+2 Allow me to reiterate. There are TWO methods to PEWGF and they have distinct differences in that the wavedash input which FYI COMPLETELY BYPASS's the Mist Step thus is the better method as it has a built in frame on start of crushing due to having a 'd' input. TL;DR - 'f,n...' = Mist step ( uniquely giving a *sidestep* while at all times Kazuya remains in the *standing* state so literally ZERO crushing ) 'f,d...' = Wavedash ( not unique to Kazuya where the user is in the *crouching* state for as long as 'd' is held, there is no tranisition laterally, only *forward* ) Here's why you are talking shite. Devil Jin doesn't have a MIST STEP. Yet can EWGF doing f,d,df+2..... funny that Q.E.D.
