I have a Kenevo SL Comp and love it. I use it for everything. Riding on downhill, enduro, and xc trails. I use it for gravel and even road trips up to sixty miles per day, several times a week. I have been thinking about attaching an Old Man Mountain rear rack to use for bikepacking and shopping. I just don’t know if that is wise, using a rear rack on a full suspension, carbon frame. I have ridden this bike for over four thousand miles and it has been stone reliable. The only things that I have replaced was brake pads, tires, and chains. No repairs, just these three wear items.

I've noticed so much improvement over everything this year with the sheer repetition that an eMTB facilitates. When I get on my other bikes that are not eMTB, I notice right off that I've leveled up. That and the eMTB is pretty much the most fun I've had on bikes ever at 56 y/o and looks promising for keeping me on the bike until they have to pry my cold, dead hands off the grips!

If you ride bikeparks at least in central europe there's usually uplift. Definitely recommend a downhiller. I live in Lenzerheide and i outgrew my downhill bike. So i occasionally ride the park with my Enduro. It works, an e-bike works too. But it's sooo much harder on the bike. You're going to have to pay muuuch more attention to the bike & line you pick. Also need to service it regularly. A downhill bike takes it, no problems, no service needed (at least not after every ride) Bikepark - DOWNHILLER Anything else - Enduro/e-bike

I have both, hands down my Levo is the most all around capable. Take it anywhere, explore any trail, climb any steep, session as much as you want, take as much gear as you want, and have the power to get back to the truck when you are dead tired. You will even wear pads more often because you realize the pedaling isn't killing you in them. Power, stability, tons of suspension and brakes. My friends ride for a couple of hours. I ride all day. Now, that being said, I'm NEVER taking the E to the gravity parks. Scroll through marketplace, pick up a Glory with a few scratches for less than $1k all day every day and f you've never ridden a DH then prepared to be stunned. This is place you bring you bulletproof plow-horse. This is the place with braking bump craters that make you glad to have 200mils of suspension. This is the place where linear springs trump progressive. It's where everything is bigger, gnarlier, faster, and harder. Let someone else buy the new DH, there are so many cheap used ones that you would be a fool not to pick one up and spend the big cash on your every day trail bike.

I agree that Neil's DH bike is beautiful. I'm lucky that my holiday's are always near bike parks (I've holidayed near 5 gravity parks this year and I've driven there with bikes). I could actually justify owning one of these bikes as I tend to holiday where you get these cards that give you unlimited access to ski lifts as part of the accommodation. However, being a dad of three kids I also need a bike that I can just mill about on and get ice cream on with the kids. I need a bike I can leave around in strange places and not worry about it getting stolen in 5 minutes because it costs more than a small car. My final point is that not all bike parks without an uplift allow you to ride e-bikes because the fact you can do more runs in a day means you wear the trails down faster (Do e-bikers pay voluntary trail fees? or are their finances tied up in monthly payments and maintenance costs). Anyway, I'll just stare at Neil's bikes and dream about what I'd ride in another life 😀

Neither, I live in NZ where I have access to the Queenstown bike park, the George in Nelson, and the Christchurch bike park is in my back yard, and I ride them all on my 120mm norco fluid fs1, in my opinion downhill bikes make the tracks easier so you just end up riding them faster, I would only get a downhill bike if I was racing downhill, I wouldn't even get an enduro bike unless I was racing enduro, I would just get a trail bike, they're more than capable enough for the vast majority of people.

Yeah I often see people being overbiked imo. Turns a blue trail into a green one most of the time. It's great zipping with them of course but there's also a certain fun on underbiking and the added challenge on trails due to lower travel. Saw some even ripping in a hardtail sometimes.
