Ingredients For Dhaba Style Mutton curry;
(Tsp- Teaspoon; Tbsp- Tablespoon )
-Mutton - 1kg
Ginger, garlic paste 4tsp
FOR MARINATION;
-Turmeric powder -1tsp
- Paprika - 3tsp
- Coriander powder -4tsp
- Cumin powder- 1 Tsp
- Black pepper powder - 1 Tsp
- Cardamom - 6
- Cloves 6
- Cinnamon 2
- salt 2 Tsp
- Onions 7 medium onions
- Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp
FOR COOKING;
Fried Onions -2 medium onions.
- 2 sliced tomatoes.
PREPARATION;
-Slice 7 medium sized onions to be used for marination.
- Now take a big bowl and add mutton pieces and all the other items for marinade.
- Mix well and set aside to marinate for 1 hour on room temperature.
- Now slice 2 medium size onions and fry in oil till golden brown.
COOKING PROCESS;
- Heat cooking oil and add tomatoes and cook till done.
- Add the onions that we cooked earlier till golden brown.
- When well cooked, add the marinated mutton and cook on high heat for 5 minutes.
- Now reduce heat to low and cook covered on low heat for 10 minutes.Remove lid ,give a mix and cover again. cook covered in low heat for another 10 mins.
- Again remove lid,mix and simmer on low heat for another 2 mins.
- Next add 300 ml water,give a mix and pressure cook and cook till 4-5 whistle. (this should be 15-18 minutes).
- Allow the pressure to release and remove lid.
Check whether meat is tender and gravy is the right consistency.
simmer for another 2 mins on low heat and serve while hot .
