It’s ridiculous and sad that we have to ask them to stand behind us when THEY are the VERY ones supposed to do what’s the best interest of the Hawaiian people of this Aina.

hawaian homes commission you asked your people to bring proof, you sit silent, the people bring you laws, to which your regulated and bound to perform, you sit silent. hawaian homes commission i see you dressed well, the people not so well, how much money is your soul worth, eternal dammnation?or maybe the threat of being removed from your chair and loss of pay is more important? do what the people ask, give them their dignity, their faith, their mahalo, their land, and most importantly their proper due. or are you so corrupt and so butt hurt youll lie till you pass of old age and dissillusionment

As the DHHL acts as a legal trustee representing the best interests of the beneficiaries, by trust law, the beneficiaries have the right to vote the commissioners out and replace them with proper representatives. This should be done immediately.

The Attorney General, Department of Hawaiian Home Lands and Department of Transportation released a joint statement that the DOT has jurisdiction and control over Mauna Kea Access Road. All parties are in agreement.

The state knows how important that road is for astronomy and other public use. Everyone's on the same page. It's only a formality for them to pay the $5M, which isn't a lot. The DOT will own the road and the state will own the land.

If that was the case, it wouldn't be the 101 day that the Native Hawaiian People have Occupied the "access road"....

@@malino1661 The state is trying to achieve a peaceful resolution to this protest. However, the kia'i have taken a hard line, no negotiation position and will ultimately fail. Protesters have already been arrested. The illegal structure was bulldozed. Police are patrolling and controlling the area for peace and safety. If the kia'i don't respect the court decisions and follow rule of law, then they will be peacefully removed. It's just a matter of time. Kapu Aloha. No violence.
