I’m Polynesian from America, born in Hawai’i and raised in mainland America. My great grandfather was full Chinese from southern China. He went to Samoa to work on the German plantations but was forced back to China after my grandpa was born, due to repatriation. Apparently he was on a ship that never made it back to China. I haven’t been able to find my Chinese relatives, but I will make it my life mission to trace him and my family down. Listening to Chinese music makes me feel closer to him. Love you great grandpa Ah Yee. -Your great grandson
It was in 1976 when I first heard this song in Temple street, 2 years later I came to America. I was in my mid 20's then now I am in my mid 50's. It just like...yesterday but it also feel like far away...I wish I could turn back time and live in the awesome 70's once more. Thanks for sharing this.
Mr Leung Yat Chiu was an important pioneer for bringing harmonica popular in Hong Kong. I was lucky to be his student in my primary school harmonica team. He had great passion in motivating us to enjoy playing. Great respect to him....

we were all young before! HK transitioned from average to rich thru the 70s. Chelsa, Wynner and all of us witnessed that part of HK history. Glad to see our good friend again here on UTube. my best wishes to Ms. Chan.

I was working in a metal factory by Chang Sa Wan in Shamp Tsui Po ( don't remember the name ) when I heard this song in Temple street back in 76'. It's just an eye blink that I have been in America for more than 30 years...a 55 years old man now.
