Out of all the Huskys ive owned the 55’s are always one i have a soft spot for and will always have. Hard to beat them.

Your video explains why my "pretty" 51 shell is still sitting in the attic.. because i'm not going to reassemble it until i'm ready to shuck out the cash for an OEM 55 jug, and then do some mild work on that. I've just seen too many horror stories to invest ANY money in aftermarket jugs unless it is a last resort.

I have a good used oem jug if you want to go that route.

Man this should really make an awesome saw getting all those numbers back where they belong! I'm super excited to see how this works! I did a finger port setup on an open port cylinder and I know comparing it to my stock 55 "mild ported" it runs a lot stronger. This is what I've been wondering forever!

Very informative. I'm trying to achieve more flow like your doing. But with a zenoah clone/ Chinese saw 48mm x 34mm. Took a non windowed piston and made it windowed. Windows are .280 wide and .500 or so long. Cylinder is quad open ported. Sorry off topic/ not husky related. But your helping me understand airflow. Thanks

Looks like a great build to test. Those transfers were probably starving a bit for fuel. Goodluck and looking forward to seeing where she lands.

Diving back into an old or first build is neat! Kinda fun and sometimes humbling. That squish 👀 hyway was playing it a little too safe!

measure bar temp with oiler adjust on ms400 and the different bars. nobody did a bar temp in relation to oil adj. and bar length video. my 044 (127k) oils way better than my ms400. it does a 20'' sugi but the gold plated stihl light 24'' gets hot. i had to part with a pile of frog skins to buy that 24'' LIGHT STIHL bar.....thems a bunch of weirdos at STIHL
