I'm 62 and I learned knitting when I was a teenager and I've knitted since then, even occasionally because I was employed for over 40 years. But now that I'm retired and I have plenty of time I dedicate myself to do different things because the doctor told me to keep my mind wide open to learn different things! As a person who dislikes routines, that advice is a like a child's play and I'm loving to learn the diagonal knitting! Thanks for teaching!!!!Oh, and I live in Brazil. Thanks ,KZitem!

was going through your play list and saw this beautiful scarf. I'm using a Red Heart variegated in Autumn colors. Making it a semi- skinny scarf. I have a tip, ( you may know this already) that I stumbled on by accident but it really works out well. With the knit front and back, I knit the first part and then when I insert my needle into the back I just slip it and it works out beautifully. Thought I would pass that along for people who may have trouble with the knitting the back loop. Have a Blessed day!

The most beautiful project you have ever done! Knitting on the needles are a primary, yet common thing, as seen on the other tutorials in which there scarves, shawls, and cawls were made. But diagonal garter stitches made from those needles.......AMAZING! Thanks for your video!

Great tutorial! Although I have been knitting for over 40 years, it's my first steps with diagonal and your video was a good choice to start off. I'm going to do diagonal with a herringbone pattern which is way advanced for me, so the first steps with garter and your guidance will build up my confidence before I go further. By the way, you have a very nice and soothing voice, perfect for this role.

@@_Gaby_950 no problem ❤️ You just need to be patient with yourself. I honestly struggled to knit for over a decade. I finally sat down in January 2018 and was like “I’m not gonna stop till I have it” I would get frustrated and have to put down my work. But I kept picking it back up. I figured it takes a special kind of person and In watching youtube and having encouraging people to look to (fiber spider being one of them) I have come to realize that my ability for anything is limitless. We all have unlimited potential. It’s just what we choose worthy of our time. If for you that is knitting then you are going to get to the point of being proud of yourself. To the point where people will look at your work and be amazed. If that is what you wish 🥰 You can master any skill you wish. “Believe you can and you are halfway there” 🙏🏻🌻💛

I followed the instructions and ended up with a diagonal edge at the beginning of the scarf and a straight edge at the end. What I found is by increasing only at the BEG of the row you will end up with a diagonal edge and that is ok if that is what you want. However to get a straight edge I have been told to increase both at the beginning and at the end of alternate row. I guess I have to live with one scarf with a diagonal edge!!!
