As a newcomer to this field, I wholeheartedly thank you for this guide. It's been extremely useful and I look forward to other tutorials, especially for DIALux evo 6, if possible.

We have implemented a variety of standards for lay-by-parking and parking lots, that are not part of the road. There is no specific tutorial for these, though.

In your documentation you will have a footer, which will shed a little light on the abbreviations: Lm= average road surface luminance (of a carriageway of a road)(cd/msq) Uo= Overall uniformity (of road surface luminance) UI= Longitudinal uniformity (of road surface luminance of a carriage way) TI= Threshold increment (%) SR= Surround Ratio (of illumination of a carriageway of a road)

How do I add South African Road Lighting Standards?
@TheDIALux

We don't have the South African lighting standards implemented in our DIALux evo software yet. Please read the chapter "Norms" in our DIALux evo manual: en.wiki.dialux.com/index.php/General#Norms

foremost and for all I want to say sorry regarding with this question, I'm just only a newbie in this industry. I'm hoping that you could help me because my mind will be EXPLODE thinking about this. I just wanted to know only if what is the use of those illuminance classes A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, CE2, CE3, CE4, CE5, S1, S2 and so on for sidewalks. And also for the roadway the illuminance classes ME3b, ME4a and so on. Is it requisite to determined individually? Thank you so much and looking forward to your kindness and patience. God Bless everyone!

Illuminance classes are determined in EN 13201 and reflect the traffic and use on the road. Obviously a wide and more frequented road in urban surrounding will need a higher level of illumination than a small country road with low traffic and few visual obstacles. You should definetly check the standard and be in contact with your client on this point to receive the relevant information to determine these classes.
