Today we take a ride on Redditch's sole Gemini on the 58 Matchborough Circular on its second day in use at the depot from Redditch Bus Station to the Church Hill Centre. The Gemini rides very well, and handles the hills very well. There was a thrashy section (along the bus only section, watch from 5:15 if you only want to watch this!), in addition to the uphill stretches (like at the start of the video from the bus station, up Unicorn Hill). This B9, and sister KTA (40626) were new for use at the Wessex Operation, and had branding for the 51 applied after this. After the Wessex operation closed, both moved to the Hounslow depot. 626 wears branding for use on a Royal Holloway University contract. However, 625 was transferred up to Preston in July 2019, and put into the new Diamond livery for use at Bolton after the takeover from First Manchester. However, with the cancellation of the 301 (Alcester Schools-Redditch), the 247 (Redditch-Evesham) needed an increased vehicle capacity, and so it was transferred down for use on the service. Due to low trees, it wasn't being used on the 247 on the day of filming (September 3rd) because on its first day a window was smashed because of it. Thanks for taking the time to watch. Feel free to subscribe to stay upto date with when I upload!
