Diana Ross remain the only super star ever to give a free concert to the public of this magnitude. This historic concert held in New York central park in July of 1983 remain the gold standard for any world class songstress. She did this when she was at the apex of her illustrious and magnetic career. No modern female artiest come close to this remarkable lady.

I lost my Mother six months before this show and this performance always hits me. I always think of my Mom. This was such a powerhouse of a performance by Miss Ross. POWERFUL BABY. My Mother would have liked it.

Extravagant woman,♀️ my family were there, our toddler, my husband and I, enjoyed every moment even as it rained, our son was comfortably snug and suited in his plush stroller which had protective covering from possible rain we'd not expected, blanket, back up bottles and his mommy and daddy. Diana Ross Concert was phenomenal and amazing!!!!

This performance makes me think of all the gay men who were dying during this time in NYC and San Francisco. 😪 We all love Ms. Ross and she is 1 of our icons. This song makes me cry for my 2 favorite uncles who sadly didn't make it to the 90s. AIDS was decimating a whole generation at that very moment. My uncles mattered and so did every single person who lost their lives. We mustn't forget them! #WhatIsRemeberedLives! Thank you Ms. Ross for giving me and everyone there a precious moment.❤

Truly to date one of the most BEUTIFUl live performances ever. Diana felt the love from her fans. He emotions were genuine. That is why she performed in the pouring rain for them in central park. I am French, one of my biggest regret: not to be a New Yorker, and to be present at 3 concerts in Central Park. Diana Ross, Elton John, and Simon & Garfunkel. I have since come to New York several times. I love this city.

Diana Ross is great, but I am also super impressed by the other singer harmonizing with her. Pity you don't to get to see him in this clip, he does a great job.

Wow Diana Ross is very unique. I've heard many versions of this song from other great singers but she really stands out when she sings, it's full of emotions👏👏👏

I love Dianna. She is something special. She fought to get to the top, and she made every minute worth it. A concert in Central Park!!! She delivered.

Cantora excepcional. Daqui a uns 50....80.... Anos , não surgirá outra cantora tão marcante por gerações como a Diana Ross. Este show foi em 1983 e se ele o repetir hoje, dará com certeza um público ainda maior e não é por ser grátis, não ! É pela carteira que ela trilhou até hoje, isso faz toda a diferença.
