@Koach127 I do, too. I wouldn't change the arrangement at all. I'd just have real strings, instead of the synth & a richer, fuller brass section, though properly muted to suit the smooth jazziness of the arrangement.

Though Diana sings L&G, when pushed, her sound is more substantial, though, she'll still sound crystalline with her wonderful phrasing intact, as heard in her soundtrack albums for "Funny Girl", "LSTB" and "The Wiz". As for the rest, I'm inclined to totally agree with your assessment.:)

I agree on the synths, but, for "MM" & "SA", they're integral to the original tracks, so, ditching them may be a bit of a gamble. EGs play well in soul music(Marvin, Isleys, etc.), but, if they were to be removed, she could have their parts played by horns, but, there, one must be careful, too, so as to not make them sound lounge-y.
Thank for uploading such high quality video! The sound is AMAZING!!! If I have ANY 'criticism', I just wish she'd used a full orchestra, preferably conducted by Joe Guercio(he conducted her legendary Caesar's Palace & Central Park concerts), who's said to be ready & willing to return to conduct for her. Full orchestras suit the grand timbre of her voice better, IMO.
