I have started following Flylady several times in the past but you are the reason why I am still following the system after six months. Yes, right back at the beginning of the year I found you and I watch your videos every time a new one comes out. My home is immaculately clean. I don't spend hours and hours trying to clean enough so my family can get into the bedrooms and bathroom. Laundry is all up to date, I always know what is for dinner in advance and I get to bed early every night. Today I needed to stay in the kitchen for a while to keep an eye on something cooking so I got out my iPad and started this video going then I cleaned out a kitchen drawer and wiped down all my top cupboard shelves. Easy Peasy, no pressure, job done. Thank you so much for these videos. I am sure it isn't easy and takes a bit of your time but we are grateful.Andrea

Love your comment, Andrea, this is where I want to be too. I'm just going through a stage of not being consistent with my routines at the moment. I must keep going at it though as it makes a difference - I too get a lot of inspiration from Flylady Diane and also from the comments on here.

Julie Ibbotson it takes a while to get into those habits but soon they just fit into the day. Now I don't even think about most of them and hubby is helping me as well. He knows all my morning and evening routines and the weekly home blessing hour. It's worth the effort.

Wonder who "M" is. 🤣 You sneaked this under my radar when I was with my sisters! No worries, this was my second FL celebrity moment! I am happy that we still get to see you everyday!! I'm chipping away at my growing list! I was looking for the GID video and saw I didn't get to see this one! Now to find the other one for tomorrow!! I which they would make it easier to find the video dates! Did you like the cartoon I send!! That was the old us!! 😁

I knew that I would never look in a folder, I would just forget about it and leave it be between all the other clutter. So I wrote my routines on pretty coloured paper which we already had for crafts and wrote my routines on there. Then I put it in a sheetprotector and taped it to one of the kitchen cabinets. At first I hesitated to do this because I wanted no one to see but then I came to the conclusion that there is nothing embarrassing about keeping your home clean and planning your day, so I went ahead and it helps me a lot to have it there and I actually go there to check if all is done. Especially when I just updated it and routines are switched around or new ones added. I do plan to put them in a folder once I have found my perfect routine and it is so ingrained that I do not have to check regularly anymore. Maybe that helps someone else, too.

Marlene Lieb I have already thought about doing so a few times. I, too, think a folder might not work (or at least yet). You just encouraged me to craft my routines 😊😊

I think this is a great idea. I made one years ago and have no idea where it is. I didn't stick with flylady program because I thought I had to do everything, not just 15 min day and 1 hr. home blessing each week. I started flylady again a month ago and understand it much better, thanks to flylady Diane. I think I'll hang mine inside a kitchen cabinet door because I need to reduce the visual clutter. If I find I'm not looking at it I'll put it on the fridge. Thanks for your idea.

As time has passed since when I started your babysteps in January, I have come so far! Thank you for continuing to encourage us in this journey. This is the first time that I have actually started and have progressed through the system, all beginning with your videos of the babysteps. Each day I get more in step with it all! Our house is so clean and inviting now, and it seems like I spend less time on it than I used to and it is cleaner and so inviting. You have really blessed me and I look forward to your videos for new tips and motivation. I know I am not the only thankful one; you have helped so many :) Have a wonderful day!

You are a blessing! You will never bore us! My home is slowly becoming a treat for me when I get home from work - it's picked up, dinner menu set, recipe and items organized, and I do a little work while food cooks or after the meal before I sit down to rest before bed. I'm decluttering one closet so I can move more items into it to clear out a guest room for our grandchildren who are visiting the U.S. From Kenya soon - that is real motivation taken in 15 min. With music or your video clips. Thanks!

Thanks again Flylady Diane. Your videos are helping me so much! I am starting to have moments where things no longer feel overwhelming. For anti-procrastination day today, I made 2 phone calls I had been putting off! Feels so good to cross them off the list. I also folded 2 loads of laundry whilst watching this video. I am very impressed with your manicure skills. I wish I could do my nails so fast. thanks x

You keep me company as I do my home blessing, or zone cleaning and even my routines! I have watched some of your videos a bunch of times but it makes me do what I need to do. Plus Dr Who, Star Trek, Iron Man and Sheldon my son said I have met a kindred! LOL But hey Tony Stark right?!! Thanks for all you do.

Thank you Diane, for having me 30 Minutes and for my new nails in fancy petrol ( haha, my husband would say: that's NOT a colour;-)) . I really believe, that you've been there, where most of us here still are, because you always say the right words at the right place and I didn't dare to stay in my pj's while listening:-)), our cheerleader is obviously watching us...kind of. You explain everything so clear, that's a real help, so instead of a big mountain, I suddenly see a lot of small stones and can take them one by one. Can't thank you enough. Another thing I like to mention is your clear pronouncing, I showed your videos to people who haven't talked or heard English since school time and they can follow you so nicely. Send you sunny thoughts of Germany, the sun plays hide and seek and June is playing April here:-)), Love Monika

My laundry system: We're a family of 6. I have 6 hanging laundry hampers in our closet. Reds family, earthy tones, blues, blacks, whites, towels. Everyone sorts their own dirties into the hampers. 1 hamper = 1 load. I fold one load, dry one load, wash one load per day (in that order). I only fold my preschoolers's clothes and mine. I place my teen stepdaughters and husband's dried clothes in baskets and they fold their own. Takes me 12 minutes to fold a load, transfer wet clothes to the dryer, and starting a new load. DONE!

I have a laundry basket on wheels that travels from bathroom to laundry and back each morning. In my laundry I have a cupboard that can fit up to 4 wash baskets, so I sort as I empty the wheelie basket into those. My husband's work uniforms in one, school uniforms in another, whites in a 3rd and the fourth is for linens. I have also scheduled my days (Mon to Sat) with laundry categories because when the cupboard doors are closed I tend to forget I have laundry waiting 😉.. eg kids clothes on Sat, bed linens on Mondays, clothes we wore over the weekend on Tues, the dog's bedding gets washed on Wednesdays, towels on Thursdays, hubby's stuff Fridays. It's my fall-back method. I'll wash any basket that is full anyway, but even if I don't have a full basket, I'll still wash at least one load a day according to category, instead of later finding an overflowing basket telling me to get a load in the machine! I hope that helps someone trying to get on top of their laundry 😊 FYI For those looking for environmentally friendly cleaning recipes, there's a lady on youtube, Melissa from 'Clean My Space' who has a lot of great non-toxic cleaner recipes that smell great and clean AND disinfect without costing a fortune and without ruining our health or the planet.

Thank you Diane for your videos and tips, they're always so helpful and inspirational to keep me moving. I've always worked out of the home so I've done pretty good with routines, but it does get tiring trying to keep up. I spend some time on Sundays checking the weather forecast & putting all my work outfits together for the week, then do my manicure in the evening. This really helps as some weeknight evenings I'm too tired to want to pull outfits. Hope you have a great week, love your Q & A's ! --Anne

That's a great idea! I knew I could customize my morning and night routines and zones but for some reason I overlooked the fact that I could actually add routines such as the gardening one you showed. In my case I made mine a personal routine and included facial, hair treatment, shave legs, and nail polish. That way I actually scheduled it in my routines. Yeah!!! Thanks to Diane's friend Em!!

In your bio, you mentioned that you wrote a book 15 minutes at a time. I've been trying to start a home business for almost a year, but with working part time outside the home and my husband being a pastor (which brings all kinds of ministry obligations with it), I feel like I never have time to work on my business, or I'm tired, etc. Excuses all, I'm sure. I was wondering if you could talk about doing large tasks 15 minutes at a time? Like writing your book, for instance. I also loved the idea of making routines for other areas of life, like gardening, that your flybaby M did. I teach a class every week, and my mind is working out how I could have a routine for prepping for that class. Thanks so much for all you do! You've helped me relax and do what I can!

Susan Hutchens I am wanting to start a home business as well and am hoping to do it 15 min at a time. I would love Diane's input and ideas but for now I plan to make a master list of things I want to accomplish. Then I will list the smaller steps to each goal underneath and start ticking those off when I am working for 15 min.
