What always differentiated this round table format and made it special was the LACK of audience. Now it's just a talk show. Intimacy gone. Disappointing, Hollywood Reporter. I look forward to you returning to the original format. Great guests though!

I agree that the audience e was a sound distraction to me at first due to technical problem. And the round table is a good idea too. May I suggest having audience persons with questions, backstage as a group and when called, join the round table and participate there, and remain until all questions are asked. Get a real table and spoil the quests onstage.

She seems to have blossomed into a really good actress. I haven't seen her in much but I remember her early roles were pretty lightweight. I think the last thing I saw her in was Inglorious Basterds and I really liked her in that. Just looking at this scene brought tears to my eyes, and I can't wait to see this movie. p.s. I think she won best actress at Cannes for this.

Yep, kick out the studio audience, it's pointless and puts them all on the spot unnecessarily. Diane Kruger is beauty inside and out, it's a little stupid how the show Margo's reaction every time she says "Harley" in reference to motorcycles...not Harley Quinn.

The inclusion of the audience robs this entire interview of its charm, intimacy, and trust. Everyone’s energy is now nervous. And part of the appeal of the Round Tables is the feeling that we, the viewer, are let into something special- the audience makes the entire experience feel cheap commercial. It doesn’t play as well as the prior format. Please change it back as I’d really like to continue watching these as I have for the last few years.

I tend to agree, I can see what The Hollywood Reporter was attempting to do. But, I always felt when there was no audience, you were able to really see how actors, actresses, producers, directors, writers (etc) interacted with each other as their full focus was on the conversation at hand. An additional audience makes it as you phrased it, lacking that intimacy and trust. You can't but wonder by having the additional audience this may have affected their interactions and answers as they now have a 'crowd' to play to.

Good point. But I think if Charlie Rose had hosted with an actual round table, the whole thing would have been perfect. I'm sure he'd host for free, too. hahaha ha! He was a natural for tough jobs. And, if the money's right, legal exemptions right, immunity from blahblahbla, It'd be a very good KZitem hit.
