Bev Randles, attorney for Southeast Missouri peach farmer Bill Bader, makes remarks to the media Feb. 15 after a federal jury in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, awarded her client $250 million in punitive damages Saturday morning. The jury, which had previously awarded $15 million to Bader in compensatory damages, held that Monsanto Co. and BASF Corp. were responsible for damage to Bader's peach orchards as the result of improper usage of the herbicide dicamba.
