You know I was 9 when Elvis passed away and I still miss him bad. I remember when my parents went to see him in concert in 1977 at Baltimore Civic Center. I begged for them to take me! They didn’t! They said little kids don’t go to Elvis concerts. I wanted to write Elvis about that but figured he wouldn’t even see the letter. My parents promised to take me to next one when he comes to Baltimore again. Well, that never happened! Christmas 1984 I had 1 gift and it was plane tickets to Memphis! My Mom told me she never forgot about me wanting to go to that concert. She was friends with someone high up with Elvis Presley Enterprises and they said if we come to Memphis he would give us a free tour of Graceland! It was Great! We took the free tour during the day and we paid for a second tour at night. It was Beautiful! It was all decorated for Christmas. I really wish I could of met him. I saw his Aunt Delta chasing and hollering at dog in the jungle room, she was wearing a bathrobe and curlers. Then I got to meet his Uncle Vester and got my picture taken with him! He was a very nice man. I met his gatekeeper too.Very nice man,had tears in his eyes talking about Elvis. He had worked for Elvis 20 years. I will never forget that gift from my Mom! I definitely would like to go 1 more time in my lifetime . It would be nice to see upstairs, the new exhibits and the museum across from mansion. Just wanted to share.....

Elvis never forgot where he came from. How unselfish that he grew up poor and later in life he didn’t want people to go without. He was a humanitarian the songs and movies were second to his empathetic kind way. We should all take alittle from his kind deeds. “ So shines a good deed in a weary world”

Thank you Danny for a great video and thanks to Mr. Grob for sharing his Elvis memories. I hope and pray that a book is written some day by those that loved Elvis and share the funny stories about Elvis. Yes, I agree that Elvis was a very giving man and the best singer/entertainer EVER to perform. But he was also a funny man and I want to hear every funny thing he did. The good and bad stories, it doesn't matter b/c Elvis was such a character in some of the things he did and said and am so fascinated by his quick humor and pranks. God bless!

Thank you for being so humble, and yes we know you havent talked to Lisa, or Priscilla,& I know it can be sad sometimes because you're family and grew up around them. Thank you for addressing the situation so humble. Im a fan of Elvis he died a year before I was born but my mom was a fan. I remember at 3yrs old I loved him.But I am a fan of Lisa's ,not just for name, her writing and singing.Unlike most I care alot for Priscilla shes beautiful, strong,to deal with the press, paparazzi, and hatred things people say about her and Lisa, and they are having a hard time right now. I don't think people realize If it wasnt for her Graceland wouldnt be around.noone but you guys were around to see the whole dynamics around their relationship. I love Elvis but he was a man that couldnt be controlled by one woman or thing.I think he is looking down at you guys with pride and love, I believe just as he felt before he died if he heard the words and the crap come out of these peoples mouths about them he would put their lights out. I dont know if its still pure jealousy, lunacy or they see him as a god . I always remember the interview where he talks about being the Image or the man,and how hard it is to live up to the image. Its got to be hard when when you hear about the struggles they are going through, its your family but you cant really have a say on matters, just pray for them and hope everything works out. Thank you for your truth and humble way you deal with the choas the craziness still almost 42 years later. Thank you for the stories and the truth.I love your whole family!! P.s. GO DAKOTA SMITH!!!_

During his interview in '''Denmark, I got a very good impression of him, he seemed to be a patriot, an intellectual, a disciplined man with good humanitarian vision. He was one of the best Memphis Mafia member that came along to Elvis' life. He also was able to discern the deep spiritual side of Elvis. A salutation for him, and best wishes of blessedness for his family.

Kept looking for your video all week and was happy to see this one. I often wonder why so many so called friends, only told not nice things about Elvis when there was so much good things they could have told ? It doesn't make any difference with his true fans, cause we just ignore their nasty stories. The Smith family has always remained faithful to Elvis's memory. No one knows what it was like to be Elvis, and having so many people to please. Sad to think of the pain he was feeling in his last days and not being able to talk about it. So happy you started this channel and glad to see your subscriber numbers has gone way up. We fans do care about you and many of us would love to meet you although it will never happen in my case since I don't travel. Will be waiting to hear more memories from Dick.
