Cedric & Ada Gear and Outdoors From what I can gather to survive a night in the wilderness you have to put a tent up badly, get fall down drunk and urinate on other people's tents when they pass out, you then pass out hoping your tent is water proof enough to keep out the urine. Job done!

Actually, I think that was a pretty good survival lesson. Didn't bring enough stuff to sleep outside in the super cold weather, but you've got a car so you go home. Leaving is an underrated survival option.

so i see why you only had 3 of these. i did that my whole childhood so i love it. guess its nostalgia now that makes me love it. but i dont have motivation to go camping with limited resources. I owe you thinking of stuff to make myself comfortable. Which might ruffing it to some but it works for me. i think for it to be enjoyable you need a base level of comfort. whatever that might be. But hats off to your wife that stuck it out til cold took its toll.

If you make a simple bushcraft yacht you can sleep on the river and use the z hunter as an anchor with all the uncut rope. With this technique you'll be immune to the dreaded spiders and you'll have quick access to a whole lot of fish.

Thanks for the video, and extra thanks to Tree for playing along for the amusement of a bunch of plastic bags and ham sandwiches you'll likely never meet. It occurs to me that the box of water is similar in size and weight to a case of Coors cans (or Fosters, or whatever beer *actual* Australians drink.) Who knows, in my own ham sandwich mind, the cans could be useful for baking that bready stuff you ate.

I'm curious if the hole digging actually helped at all to keep you warm. Also, you should have tried burying some coals under the soil and then putting your bed on top. Supposedly that helps although never tried it personally.
