As a sufferer of generalized anxiety disorder, I wish I could talk to Chris and tell him what's been successful for me for the past 30 years. If by some miracle he sees this, I just want to let you know that therapy is not a lifetime thing! It's a great resource to have and use, but you won't need to be in therapy for years upon years. Also, is the worst anxiety showing up when it's something that you have no control over and/or do you think about the worst case scenario so that whatever the outcome is, you will be prepared for it? I would love to talk to you about this, you ask some great insightful questions. Ask them to someone who knows what anxiety that you cannot just stop, like most people don't understand, is all about. Keep up the self reflection and take care of yourself, it's not selfish or narcissistic to treat yourself better. You're a GREAT comedian and I appreciate your honesty about your issues. NO, YOU DIDN'T BOMB ON ROGAN. He doesn't understand that there is more to compulsive anxiety than the anxiety most people deal with in life. He's a good friend tho, just trying to help, but he's over simplifying it.

Chris, your JRE was great. Just consider the fact, that the greater the intellect, the greater the "burden" of considering many angles is. I hope you see this Chrissy. I watched your pod with Joe Rogan and I just want to say honestly man, same. I feel like I am you. My anxiety is UNFUCKINGHINGED. Making up scenarios constantly and playing it out just to try to be prepared for the failure or disappointment before it even happens. It literally sucks the joy out of everything. It really hit me when you said you started thinking you'd have to kill yourself cause you can't live like this. I'm in the exact same boat, but I have a 2 year old daughter now and I cannot leave this precious, innocent girl without her mother that loves her SO deeply. Hearing you talk about your kids makes me so emotional because I get it. God, I'm gonna ruin her fucking life if I don't get it together. She can't walk over sewer grates cause I'm worried it will fail and she'll fall in, then I start thinking up the plan and psyching myself up for shit that literally will not happen. I gotta get rid of this shit, I need to be able to let her live her life. I'm just terrified every second I'm away from her that something bad is happening and there's nothing I can do about it. You are criminally underrated as a comedian in my opinion. Hands down fucking hilarious. I think you deserve even more success than you're experiencing, and it really bums me out that you have those doubts about yourself.
