Happy to see Milwaukee still shine. The Gen 3 impact driver by far my favorite out of any of them. Still haven’t tried Gen 4 but I’m sure it’s great. The Flex is what it is. If your driving 3/8 structural lags or large diameter Tapcons all day that don’t require a wrench, both of these will get er done. I drive a lot of #10 3 inch spax or GRK and 1/4 inch Tapcons for concrete forms and I just prefer the Milwaukee. Always nice to have the Surge in the bag as well. Flex tools definitely have my respect as a guy who loves tools. Can’t go wrong with either one✊

they can make flex look as good as they want but I'm still not impressed. I just think its funny how the gen 3 stuff was so great and beating them in some competitions but now people are making it look like milwaukee has practically no chance with the gen 4 which we obviously know has more power. not knocking this or any other channels on here but it's just funny how it's been since it got released.

That is where Bosch 12v screwdrivers are made for sheer precision for cabinetry, appliance repair and HVAC work. I love my M12 Surge also it’s the best for the next level up of fastening. I also tried FLEX many many times on the jobsite and it lacks trigger refinement “control” and because of the weight it adds fatigue during constant use. The 12v tools today are beyond the power of the 20v tools of the past. Maybe if your framing or doing a lot of work with lumber I would not suggest the FLEX impact.

If youre doing mostly delicate stuff I would not recommended m18 or other brands in its class. The weight is a downside, and its too much power. Only get them if you need the max output for the majority of your work. Havent used Flex, but another half a pound seems crazy to me. I thought the main point of stacked lithium was to save weight/size? Their battery is huge and the bare tool weighs more... Not trying to knock Flex but wtf?

Im mainly a dewalt guy but got the flex quick eject impact with stacked lithium and flex grinder recently. Mainly cuz the grinder is variable speed. The impact is a beast but i didnt realize the quick eject collet isnt quick insert. It really bugs the crap out of me. The "quick eject" doesnt seem like a feature in my opinion its an annoyance. Am i the only 1 that feels this way? O and to even release the bit rarely will jus fall out you have to pull it out. Doesnt seem like quick eject to me
@LeJemini
Жыл бұрын
I think you may be missing the point of the quick eject button. I’ve used my father’s makita impact drivers my whole life up until this year, when I decided to jump on the flex system. My biggest complaint about the makita drivers (which also applies to any driver without a quick-eject button) is the fact that it takes two hands and a flat surface to rest the driver on, in order to change out the bits without dropping them or the tool. What the quick eject button does is allow you to eject the bit with the hand holding the driver, while removing it with the other hand. I can do this action anywhere and with little awkwardness. Moreover, if the bit easily fell out or was shot out when the button was pressed, I’d lose my bits half of the time, and the button would become more of a liability than a convenience.

So flex has 24v which is 33% more than the 18v Milwaukee. I seriously think the stacked lithium is a great innovation on Flex’s part. It also seems these two tools are closely match performance wise. Back to that difference in voltage. Power = current * voltage. If the performance(power) in the driver and the hammer drill (acknowledging that Flex won every hammer drill comparisons by 5-10%) are similar what is Flex doing with the other 23% (33% -10%) of the power available? Cooler running by dropping the current?Which could lead to longer tool life. Or longer battery life? I think the evil and Clint need to do a battery life test. Are you twins up for it?

Here is the thing about all of this Flex hype: We are moving toward accepting them WAY too fast, in my opinion. I'll explain using an analogy. Think of the German Army, at the beginning of WWII. They had the most powerful and best equipped army in the world, when they started the war. This was because, like Flex with these initial offerings, they had all of the time from the end of WWI to the beginning of WWII to build it. Flex, with these initial offerings, has had all of the time from back at the beginning of time until now to come up with this line of products. Once WWII started, and the Germans had to operate with the same time constraints as everyone else they found out they did not have the ability to replace all of the shit that gets blown up once a shooting war starts, while America did. They did not have the ability to innovate new stuff as fast as America could. So once it was game on, they could not maintain a powerful army with all of the best equipment, without the 30 years they had to initially build it. Flex has what looks like a great opening line up of offerings. But NOW they are in the market place. NOW it is game on. Let's see how well they do keeping up with everyone else, now that they no longer have unlimited time to work with to bring new products to market. They may well be able to keep up. They may be the real deal. All I am saying is that we just don't know yet. Given the two affiliate links available here, I'd have to go red. I just don't see it as safe to invest in Flex batteries just yet...not until we see how efficiently and expediently they can bring their gen 2s to market, whereas we KNOW, with certainty, that Milwaukee will be keeping up.

@@ToolReviewZone OK well, if they have been in any market, European or otherwise, and they have been consistently offering products that are technologically competitive...then my theory is incorrect.

I feel pity and it's sad for Milwaukee this gen 4 Milwaukee is Fading before it Shines. Hahaha! 🤣 Why he didn't go on Driving 10" Timberlok screws and 8" Lag bolts why he didn't go on a much harder task?? 🤔 Because he knows that Milwaukee will get destroyed in front of the camera and people will see it. He knows! I mean that Stack Lithium Ion Pouch cell battery on the Flex ain't kidding. As I saw on the Short TikTok video from VCG Construction channel Flex with 10.0Ah Stack Lithium VS Milwaukee Gen4 with 8.0Ah High Output 21700 cell battery. Milwaukee got toasted. I guess Milwaukee is a loser tool now 🤣 How Butthurt the Milwaukee Fans could be?! 🤣🤪 Flex is the New King 👑 of Impacts now. Deal with it. But even though Flex is the King I still love my DeWalt DCF888 and 885. Then I got my favorite Makita XDT-16 and the Japanese made Makita TD-172 18V and TD-002G 40V.
