I thought you were gonna talk a bit more about his performance in that movie.

The Razzies are a joke, always has been. Stanley Kubrick was among the first nominees for “Worst Director” (for The Shining at the inaugural Razzie Awards in 1980). Two years later, Ennio Morricone’s score for John Carpenter’s The Thing was nominated for “Worst Musical Score”. & the year after that Brian De Palma got a “Worst Director” nomination for Scarface. In hindsight, these nominations are more embarrassing for the Razzies themselves than the nominees. So for the last couple of decades they have played it safe but only nominating the absolute bottom of the barrel (Uwe Boll, Paris Hilton, Dinesh D'Souza, etc.)

"The Beach' was great; 'Wolf of Wall Street' stunk. Could only get through about 15 minutes. Horrible. Terrible. "The Beach' was a very enjoyable movie especially since DiCaprio was playing a character that made sense for his very eternally boyish screen look. DiCaprio as Howard Hughes is absolutely ridiculous. The point is that he cannot play any role he is not able to carry it off. 'Oh look, that actor kid is trying to play a really annoying adult stock broker with a horrible accent that I can only stand for about five seconds'. He's just not as good as common folk people think he is. Box office ticket sales from people who went to see 'Avengers' last week does not mean good art. It just mean ticket sales.
