Welcome to Tunisia! Welcome to Tunis, capital city of the most underrated country in the Arab World. In this vlog I share my first impressions and first day in this once European tourist hotspot.
It is worth noting, not many people come and stay in Tunis. But you must! the old city (medina), bazaar and streets of Tunis have so much character and such a special, chilled vibe.
ACCOMODATION 🏡
I stayed in the 5* Dar El Jeld Hotel and Spa and in honestly I believe this is the ONLY place you should stay when coming to Tunis (obviously if it's within budget!).
FOOD 🍽
I thought the food in Tunisia was better than Egypt and Morocco. But it's also worth noting I am very picky with food! And whilst I'm not a fan of couscous, Tunisian couscous is very nice!
TRANSPORT 🚗
The best way to get from the airport to your accomodation is by downloading BOLT.
However, once in the city centre and getting around, yellow taxis are actually cheaper and Tunisian taxi drivers whilst they don't use meters, were very honest and the prices were SO CHEAP!
Overall, Tunis is a must visit place in the Middle East and I would encourage everyone to come to Tunisia and to come and stay in Tunis!
***ALSO SORRY ABOUT MY ARABIC AT THE START
TUNIS in arabic means TUNIS and TUNISIA. TuniSIE means a Tunisian. So technically what I said doesn't make sense. But you live and you learn!
