Stop saying Luka is out of shape or not taking his body seriously. He averaged the leagues only 34/9/10 in history and took a #5 seed to the Finals. Just stop it, its not accurate.

@@jackastor5265 hmm, i don’t think Grant meant it like that, think he meant more so coming in ready out of the gate, which he did last season but has been an issue in the past. but i could see how the throwaway comment would be interpreted the way you took it.

The Mavs may be the deepest team in the NBA now. People don't realize it yet but they will this season. They made the Finals then added Klay Thompson, Spencer Dinwiddie, Naji Marshall, and Quentin Grimes. This team is going to be a problem and there isn't a single team in the West that is going to want to meet up with the Mavs in the playoffs.

Lets look at all the guys that COULD clearly be rotation players: Guards: Doncic/Irving/Dinwiddie/Hardy Wings: Thompson/Washington/Grimes/Marshall/Exum Bigs: Lively/Gafford/Kleber Thats a legit 12 men rotation! This team is extremely deep and also has elite talent at the top. If they can stay somewhat healthy, I think 60 wins is a true possibility. And then we will have to see who is in the 9 men PO rotation. But to be honest, all 12 could be in it. And thats a luxury not many, if any, West Contender have.

These 2 guys offer pretty analytical takes, although the skateboarder-looking dude makes me roll my eyes when he fanboys everything OKC. Still though, I always pay attention to content from this channel.

They added Klay Naji & Grimes. All amazing 3poimt shooters and defenders even though klay has slightly digressed but still great roster and one of the deepest bench ITL. Also spence, great ball handler and can create shots and clutch and was a huge part of that 2022 WCF run. Also a 7’5 defensive stopper. They were just a few pieces away from beating Boston and I think they’ll be able to this time with hopefully a HEALTHY Luka and Kyrie getting over the hump. Whoever they met, I think they will beat. They should be the favorites, no doubt💯💯

He also does wild shit like drop the most efficient 70+ point game in history. The continued narrative that he isn't "in shape" just tells me most people don't watch Mavs basketball and they just regurgitate the same old tired story despite all the evidence pointing to the contrary. Luka had one of the greatest individual seasons in NBA history last season, people still say he's not in shape. I guess they think he would drop a 100 point game and average 40/10/10 if he lost 15 pounds.

You cant just add talent to heliocentric offense and expect efficiency improvements. In a lot of cases adding offensive players to heliocentric offense makes you worse because the offense was already capped but you get worse defensively. Heliocentric has its limits. Only motion offensive schemes scale efficiently.

@@JERWINIVANCORBETA Heliocentric doesn't work that way. Look at LeBrons teams. You can't just keep adding scorers and think your offensive efficiency will scale.

Looking at the Western Conference this Mavs fan will be ok with 53-54 wins and 3rd or 4th seed. Their roster is very deep now so hopefully no one plays big minutes in the regular season. Who finished ahead of the Mavs in '23-'24? OKC, Minnesota, Denver, LA Clippers (maybe a step back). Up and coming? Phoenix, Memphis (Ja is back), Sacramento. Not to mention San Antonio. Makes me want to be in the East.
