@@embee9x805 Why does God the Father call Jesus GOD. New International Version But about the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. Berean Standard Bible And from His mouth proceeds a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. King James Bible I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, (THE Almighty) King James Bible (I am he that liveth, and was dead;) and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. King James Bible Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. King James Bible He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. King James Bible And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. JESUS IS THE ALMIGHTY. Of course there is a lot of things we can't explain. Like all the prophecies ever since the book of Genesis. But the truth is the truth, so far all the prophecies have come to pass. The bible says that the word became a man. New International Version Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, (but a body you prepared for me;) In other words before Jesus took on human nature, ( flesh). What was he? He was God, one member of the triune God. Because God exists in 3 father, son and holyspirit. So before Jesus took on flesh he was one with the father. Sharing the glory with the Father , self existing with the father in total harmony, union. THE bible says Jesus took on the form of a servant . In order to take on the role of a servant You could not have been a servant. Jesus said if you don't believe me believe the works the miracles I done. New International Version But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.” It is clear that Jesus was doing the things That only God can do. If doing the things that only God can do Is not good enough for someone to believe, they must be blind. What more can you possibly want he lived out a life greater than anything written can explain. He lived a sinless and perfect life. No one on earth has ever done the works that he has done. He done it all. NO ONE ELSE HAS EVER DONE ANYTHING CLOSE TO WHAT HE HAS DONE. HE LIVE THE LIFE THAT ONLY GOD COULD LIVE. HE DONE THE THINGS THAT ONLY GOD CAN DO. HE FORGIVES SINS. HE GIVES LIFE. HE IS THE SAVIOR. HE GAVE SIGHT TO THE BLIND. WALKED ON WATER. CALMED THE STORM. CHANGED PEOPLE FROM THE INSIDE. HE SHINED LIGHT INTO THE DARKNESS. HE RAISED THE DEAD, HE RAISED HIMSELF, CONQUERING DEATH. HE SAID ALL THAT BELONGS TO THE FATHER IS MINE. WHO CAN MAKE SUCH A STATEMENT. THE LIST GOES ON.

With regards to the points you have made Tovia, While the method of Paul's execution (And Peter's) are mentioned in traditions outside the New Testament (traditions which I think are true.) He nevertheless says this in 2 Timothy 4: 6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing. This was a man who willingly and confidently went to his death for what he believed was true. Presumably the disciples had this attitude as well.

The New Testament was not “written”. It was compiled from a number of candidate scriptures and the church decided what would go into the canon and what wouldn’t. The Gospel of Thomas and the Shepherd of Hermas were popular texts that didn’t make it. Neither did the apocalypse of Peter, but the apocalypse of John did, which we now call the book of revelation. you cannot be serious! have you ever even read your bibles? 1 Kings 19: Then a voice said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” 14He replied, “I have been very zealous for the Lord God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, torn down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too.” (bible/Torah) When it is said to them: “Believe in what Allah has revealed” *they reply; “We only believe in what was sent down to us” and they deny what came afterwards, though it is the truth confirming their own Scriptures! Ask ˹them, O Prophet˺, “Why then did you kill Allah’s prophets before, if you are ˹truly˺ believers?”* (Quran 2.91) Deuteronomy 24: 24After Moses finished writing in a book the words of this law from beginning to end, 25he gave this command to the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord: 26“Take this Book of the Law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God. There it will remain as a witness against you. 27 *For I know how rebellious and stiff-necked you are. If you have been rebellious against the Lord while I am still alive and with you, how much more will you rebel after I die! 28Assemble before me all the elders of your tribes and all your officials, so that I can speak these words in their hearing and call the heavens and the earth to testify against them. 29For I know that after my death you are sure to become utterly corrupt and to turn from the way I have commanded you.* In days to come, disaster will fall on you because you will do evil in the sight of the Lord and arouse his anger by what your hands have made.” (bible/Torah) Allah made a covenant with the Children of Israel and appointed twelve leaders from among them and ˹then˺ said, “I am truly with you. If you establish prayer, pay alms-tax, believe in My messengers, support them, and lend to Allah a good loan, I will certainly forgive your sins and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow. And whoever among you disbelieves afterwards has truly strayed from the Right Way.” But for breaking their covenant We condemned them and hardened their hearts. They distorted the words of the Scripture and neglected a portion of what they had been commanded to uphold. You ˹O Prophet˺ will always find deceit on their part, except for a few. But pardon them and bear with them. Indeed, Allah loves the good-doers. And from those who say, “We are Christians,” We took their covenant, but they neglected a portion of what they had been commanded to uphold. So We let hostility and enmity arise between them until the Day of Judgment, and soon Allah will inform them of all they have done. O People of the Book! Now Our Messenger has come to you, revealing much of what you have hidden of the Scriptures and disregarding much. There certainly has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book/Quran.. through which Allah guides those who seek His pleasure to the ways of peace, brings them out of darkness and into light by His Will, and guides them to the Straight Path. Indeed, those who say, “Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary,” have fallen into disbelief. Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Who has the power to prevent Allah if He chose to destroy the Messiah, son of Mary, his mother, and everyone in the world all together?” To Allah ˹alone˺ belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and everything in between. He creates whatever He wills. And Allah is Most Capable of everything. The Jews and the Christians each say, “We are the children of Allah and His most beloved!” Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Why then does He punish you for your sins? No! You are only humans like others of His Own making. He forgives whoever He wills and punishes whoever He wills. To Allah ˹alone˺ belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and everything in between. And to Him is the final return.” O People of the Book! Our Messenger has indeed come to you, making things clear to you after an interval between the messengers so you do not say, “There has never come to us a deliverer of good news or a warner.” Now there has come to you a deliverer of good news and a warner. And Allah is Most Capable of everything. And ˹remember˺ when Moses said to his people; “O my people! Remember Allah’s favours upon you when He raised prophets from among you, made you sovereign and gave you what He had never given anyone in the world. (the Quran 5.12-20) there are also tooo many new testament bible verses that prove it is corrupt and no longer the preserved word of God. in fact most of it are lies from Paul and other unknown authors who never even met Prophet Jesus عليه السلام or hear him preach the true Gospel!

@@muslimresponse103 Assalamu Alaikum, The Quran tells the Jewish people to observe the Torah Taurat and tells the Muslim people whoever has no faith in … Allah's Books … then he has strayed far away (from Allah) 1. Why did the first Muslims believe that the son to be sacrificed was Isaac Ishaq? The Torah Taurat names Isaac Ishaq as the son to be sacrificed and the Quran tells the Jewish people to observe their covenant with Allah which is the Torah Taurat in Quran 2:40 and confirms what is with the Jewish people in the Torah Taurat in Quran 2:41 and says in Quran 4:136 “... whoever has no faith in … Allah's Books … then he has strayed far away (from Allah)” and in Quran 3:93 “… Say (Prophet Muhammad, to the Jews of Yathrib), "Bring the Torah Taurat here and recite it (to me as evidence) if what you say is true." meaning the Quran confirms the Torah Taurat to show that humans do not have the power to change the written word of Allah (in Quran 6:34, Quran 6:115, Quran 10:64, Quran 18:27 and Quran 30:3) which the Jews have been commanded to follow forever in the Torah Taurat by observing the Sabbath Day in all their generations in a covenant agreement made with Allah forever in the Torah Taurat which is confirmed in the Quran as proof Allah is real and as proof the Quran is truthful. . 2. Why did later Muslims believe that the son to be sacrificed was Ishmael Ismail? Later Muslims said that Ishmael Ismail was the only son for 13 years and therefore the Jews changed the Torah Taurat. However when you read the Torah Taurat you will find that Ishmael Ismail and Isaac Ishaq were both living in the same house before the sacrifice and it was after Ishmael Ismail and Hagar Hajar are sent into the desert that the only son living with Abraham Ibrahim is Isaac Ishaq and this is why Allah says “Take your only son Isaac Ishaq and sacrifice him” meaning the faith in Quran 4:136 which the first Muslims had in the Torah Taurat was the correct faith meaning later Muslims did not read the Torah Taurat and believed what other people told them when they claimed the sacrifice was before the birth of Isaac Ishaq. . In both the Quran and Torah Taurat Isaac Ishaq is given to Prophet Abraham Ibrahim twice. The first time is by the angel of Allah with the birth of Isaac Ishaq and the second time is after the angel of Allah stops the sacrifice and gives Isaac Ishaq to Prophet Abraham Ibrahim a second time. The name good news is always the name of Isaac Ishaq in Quran chapters 11, 15, 19, 29, 37 and 51. . In both the Quran and Torah Taurat Ishmael Ismail is not mentioned anywhere in Quran chapter 37 or in Torah Taurat Genesis 22 which is the story of the sacrifice. . In the Quran Allah only blesses Abraham Ibrahim and Isaac Ishaq in the story of the sacrifice. Allah has left no blessing or mention of Ishmael Ismail in the story of the sacrifice because he is not in this story. . The Quran confirms the Torah Taurat however Satan Shaitan tests Muslims to show who believes the word of Allah was changed in the Torah Taurat in the same way Satan Shaitan tests Christians to show who believes Prophet Jesus Isa is Allah. . 3. The story of the sacrifice in Quran chapter 37 starts in Quran chapter 19. The story of Prophet Isaac Ishaq who is called the “Good News” son is the story of the son of Sarah and Prophet Abraham Ibrahim in Quran chapters 11, 15, 19, 29, 37 and 51. In Quran 19:46 - 19:49 Abraham Ibrahim lived with his father and prays and when he went away Allah gave him Isaac Ishaq in Quran 19:49 meaning this is the story of the son of Sarah. . The story in Quran 19:46 - 19:49 which is the story of Isaac Ishaq the son of Sarah is the same story in the beginning of the story of the sacrifice in Quran 37:98 - Quran 37:101. 1. Quran 37:98 is Quran 19:46 Prophet Abraham Ibrahim is living with his father. 2. Quran 37:99 is Quran 19:47 Prophet Abraham Ibrahim prays. 3. Quran 37:100 is Quran 19:48 Prophet Abraham Ibrahim prays. 4. Quran 37:101 (We gave him the good news) is Quran 19:49 (“We gave him Isaac Ishaq”). . The angel of Allah gave the Good News son Prophet Isaac Ishaq twice. The first time the angel of Allah gave Prophet Isaac Ishaq is as the Good News in Quran 37:101 which is the same as when Prophet Isaac Ishaq is given the first time in Quran 19:49. This Good News son Prophet Isaac Ishaq is to be sacrificed in the next verse Quran 37:102. . The second time Allah gave Prophet Isaac Ishaq is after Allah stopped the sacrifice and gave Prophet Isaac Ishaq a second time to Prophet Abraham Ibrahim in Quran 37:112 . The story of the sacrifice only blesses Prophet Abraham Ibrahim and Prophet Isaac Ishaq both separately and together as the father and son. Allah has left no other blessings in the story of the sacrifice in Quran chapter 37 meaning the Quran confirms the Torah Taurat as proof no one can change the words of Allah as promised in Quran 6:34, Quran 6:115, Quran 10:64, Quran 18:27 and Quran 30:30 Quran 4:136 Koran 4:136 “... and whoever has no faith in … Allah's Books … then he has strayed far away (from Allah).”

You might want to check out Acts 21. Paul knew what was coming, and willingly went. And he also knew preaching the gospel would be the thing that got him killed. How do we know that? Because he had pretty much been chased out of every town across the lands by rabbis, and was even stoned to death once. Paul was previously a high-ranking pharisee-in-training at the Temple. He was actively hunting Christians to kill them before meetimg Jesus on the road to Damascus. He was one of the murderers of the early believers, and he, knowing he would be viewed as a traitor, walked directly into that lion's den. You need a direct statement when the entire story tells the obvious?

I highly doubt this scenario took place. Sounds like a straw man argument. If Jews can get oral traditions from the Talmud which supposedly records sayings of early Rabbis of the 1st century and earlier yet it wasn’t written to paper until 500AD, I don’t see the issue why Christians can’t use the Patristics writings for a source of oral traditions. The Patristics are far more reliable than the Talmud.

I think the point here is that a lot of Christians criticize rabbinic tradition and Oral Torah “…because it isn’t in the Bible.” Yet they themselves consider certain traditions and stories to be sacred and unquestionable that appear nowhere in the Christian bible. I didn’t see the full video, but I don’t think he’s trying to claim that these deaths never occurred, but rather to show how this perspective of “if is isn’t in the Bible then it didn’t happen” is actually hypocritical.

It's not a "Roman Catholic" tradition. It's a very early account of their deaths. Their martyrdoms are first attested in the 1st Epistle of Clement to the Corinthians, written near the end of the first century. They're also attested in Ignatius' Epistle to the Ephesians, chap. 5 (ca. AD 115). Other writings as well such as the Ascension of Isaiah (which many would date to the second century AD), Irenaeus, and the Muratorian Canon. Plus, Paul seems to anticipate his own martyrdom in 2 Tim 4:6. Naturally though, neither Paul nor Peter record their own martyrdoms in their writings. The fact that Luke doesn't mention Paul's or Peter's martyrdoms in the book of Acts has been explained in various ways. Some think the book was written before AD 63 (the traditional date of their martyrdoms). Others think that Luke had intended to write a sequel to Acts which would have talked further about the events in the lives of these two apostles.

The supposed martyrdoms of Paul and Peter are not recorded in the New Testament. The story about Peter comes from a book called "The Martyrdom of Peter" written around 200CE.

Assalamu Alaikum, The Quran tells the Jewish people to observe the Torah Taurat and tells the Muslim people whoever has no faith in … Allah's Books … then he has strayed far away (from Allah). 1.

I say the Jews of 1 C.E injected different ideals and by this, dividing the proto scriptures of this Jewish sect of Nazarenes that happened on an era in Jerusalem where Scripture was interpreted by many in many ways and Mosiach was appearing very often and none was The Hero. So they destroyed this Jewish doctrine from the face of Israel just like other Moshiach stories were destroyed by them or by themselves. The Greek world ate it up by making him a deity. Edom turned a son of Jacob into its main deity.

I remember being told in Catholic school that Paul was beheaded in Rome. However, the book of Acts said he went off to Rome to continue preaching the Gospel as though it was a happy ever after ending to his story. The traditions about the executions of Peter and Paul could only have come from non-canonical writings. However, they don't tell you that in catechism or Sunday school. Somebody decided that wasn't important to tell you.

No, Christians know there is no mention of Paul's death in the "New Testament," but what you find in the Bible are not all the documents of the early Christianity. Later Roman historians, e.g., Eusebius, commented on these matters too.

@@Ramukaka249 Eusebius (260-339) was a Church historian. The only Roman historians to have any interest in Paul and to write about him were Church historians. He was of no interest to anybody else. Josephus, for example, doesn't mention Paul at all, but he mentions James and Jesus. But we know about Paul from his own letters (7 considered authentic) and the Acts. There are also a few external sources, a letter of Clemens of Rome, a letter of Ignatius of Antioch, a letter of Polycarp, all three early 2nd century, the first one perhaps as early as the late 1st. Paul's Epistles are so characteristic, linguistically and semantically, they tell us a great deal about the man.

There were many sources that informed the early church before the books of the bible were generally agreed upon. Clement 1 from 95 CE says that Paul was beheaded in Rome, but Clement 1 was not put in the bible because it wasn't considered to have been written in the lifetime of the Apostles. Early Christian texts including a continuous tradition through Didache, Didascalea, and the Apostolic Constitutions which were all guiding documents of Church tradition and rubrics for practice by the first ecumenical council. So the answer is that during the first 4 centuries after Jesus the church had a continual tradition passed down from person to person whose names are recorded. The New Testament books were chosen primarily to be read as the new covenant Torah along with the reading of the Pentateuch and prophetic books of the Old Testament. The weren't chosen to be an exhaustive record of history. And 80% or so of Christians on Earth still have this unbroken Apostolic tradition traced name by name back through history. Ignatius and Polycarp wrote that they were ordained by laying on of hands by John. Peter was quoted in the Apostolic Constitutions that he ordained Clemente of Rome, and lists all of the other successors of the Apostles.

The death of Paul is not in the Bible but so what? Romans was the last book he wrote chronologically speaking. He likely died in Rome as the historian Eusebius claimed, beheaded under Nero’s persecution. This makes sense given the climate under Nero for Christians and because Paul was a Roman citizen and therefore would have been able to choose beheading over tortuous crucifixion. He didn’t have an easy life though and says himself that he received 39 lashes from the Jews 5 times, was stoned once but survived, shipwrecked 3 times, beaten with rods 3 times, spent a lot of time on journeys, faced dangers in the water, danger in the wilderness, danger in the city, faced danger from robbers, his own countrymen, foreigners and fake friends, was hungry and thirsty a lot, cold and naked, weary and in pain, sleepless nights and a lot of fasting. He said he was happy and ready to die because to be absent from the body was to be present with the Lord. He thought all the suffering then was worth it. How much more must he feel that way now that he is with the Lord. I pray God transforms you into a modern-day Paul in Jesus’ name.

Deuteronomy 18:17-19 Matthew 11:14, 17:10-13 Acts 3:20-22 Genesis 17:20 Isaiah 21:13-17 John 16:7 John 16:12-14 Etc etc.. Of course, the death of Peter does not appear in the Bible, the same Bible that clearly prophesies the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and mentions him BY NAME: Song of Songs (5:9-16)

Pauls martyrdom is not in the bible. Luke alludes to the martyrdom of Paul, ending his story as he arrives in Rome. 1 Clement 5:5-7 which was written about 95 CE says that Paul came to the limits of the west and met with its rulers and was set free from this world. Then Ignacius of Antioch was martyred around the year 108. While a prisoner he wrote several letters expressing a desire to face martyrdom the same way Paul did. Ignacius and clement were two early writers on the execution of Paul and they wrote within 40 years of Pauls death. While neither gives specific details on Pauls death it is clear that Paul died a martyr. Paul says he was a Roman citizen and as a citizen his manner of execution would have been beheading which was considered to be quicker and less painful. So to be clear there is evidence that Paul died a martyr but the manner of his death is in question. Beheading was the easiest way to die so if someone were to make up a story about Pauls death i think they would have embellished the fact that he was martyred by describing a more horredous execution. Just my thoughts, i wasnt there and neither were you. Respectfully. I like you because you make me better by forcing me to look for answers. Thank you for that!

It's not a "Roman catholic tradition" this tradition is held by all the Christian orthodox. Hopefully you're not rejecting extrabiblical sources that show that Christians were certainly persecuted and killed for their faith. That's equivalent to me saying to you that the Holocaust didn't happen because there's no evidence of it. Of course that's a heinous statement. If you're looking for Christians who were persecuted or gave their life for the faith in NT: Acts 7 gives us Stephen, Acts 12 James, 2 Cor 11 tells us about how much fun Paul had being a Christian, the Thessalonians were persecuted as evidenced in 1 Thes 2:14-15 and 1 Thes 3:3-4.

As the book of acts may have had more chapters and those missing chapters show him moving to England where he preached about Jesus till he died. There are so many books of the new testament that were not added and just as many subtracted even what they kept can't agree with each other.

Where exactly would one expect Paul's death to be written in the Bible? The only outstanding book yet unwritten at the time of Paul's death, is the book of Revelation. All the other New Testament books had been written before Paul died. And such a weighty book of end times prophesy as Revelation, wasn't going to waste ink recording the death of a missionary 30 years previously.
