Skiing in Edinburgh? Really? YES! And it will only cost you £1.60 to get to the slopes from Princes Street in the city centre of the Scottish Capital. This is one of the best day adventures I have done in Scotland so far, all at the Midlothian Snowsports Centre.
If you're in Edinburgh and looking for things to do then getting a bus to the Midlothian Snowsports Centre must be on your list.
Whether you are a novice skier or snowboarder, or want to brush up on your skills before flying away for a ski holiday, enjoying the Scottish ski resorts or just want an easy way to get on the slopes, then this dry-ski slope just south of Edinburgh is the perfect location.
Adult prices for an hour on the slopes including equipment hire are just £15 and you can extend further at £8 per hour. For junior's in £10 for the first hour.
You much wear appropriate clothing covering all of your body, including gloves and the slopes are open all-year round. Mon-Fri 930am - 9pm Sat-Sun 930am-7pm. The slopes are floodlit in the evenings!
If you're lucky to have a clear day, then you will clearly see the city of Edinburgh and all of its major landmarks, the iconic Edinburgh Castle, Firth of Forth bridges and as far as North Berwick from the top of the slopes.
