From the very beginning of the great Russian invasion, the Ukrainian military was the first to use unmanned systems on the battlefield. Drones were used to track the enemy from the sky, control the movement of entire columns, and destroy the occupiers with munitions. This is how robots entered the full-scale war.
The next stage of development, after the appearance of FPV drones in the army, is now ground drones. And in this video, a sergeant with the Third Assault Brigade, Amon's friend, personally tested robotic technology at a training ground. The brigade's soldiers are already testing them at the forefront, and we will show you what they are designed for.
The number one task is to replace a human. The life of every soldier is the most valuable. That is why certain combat tasks have been taken over by robots. Thus, specialists have created ground drones: tracked, wheeled, equipped with night vision cameras, cargo platforms and mine-dropping systems. Some of them are all-terrain and can even evacuate wounded soldiers from the ground.
Read this review by the Third Assault Brigade to find out how it looks like in practice, and to learn more about the latest developments, advantages and disadvantages!
