One thing I wish Deloney would do more is press whether these people are going to a licensed professional, or just some person at their church, when they say, "we're seeing a counselor". When going thru a divorce, my 6 year old daughter demonstrated some behaviors that could've been attributed to sexual abuse, or not. I took her to two different counselors to get some help to clarify and both times, the instant I started to mention the behavior they immediately shut me down and redirected the conversation. Both said they'd have their receptionist call me to schedule a follow up appointment and they never did. I left multiple messages for one of them asking for a return appt and never got a return call. I finally realized that they didnt want to get involved in a potential mandatory report and court case. Turned out there wasnt an abuse issue but I sure didnt get any help in sorting it out. I also had a buddy who was being sexually abused by his parents and he went straight to the police and he was told “ we don’t have time to help people who can help themselves.” Child abuse seems to be a thing that most are willing to look the other way on, which is why I never went to the police it was already obvious that no one cares🤷♀️

The video was of him hard in the shower but just naked no "acts" if you will - keeping it tame so not to intimidate the child. I went through everything and found some underwear pics she sent him. Everything he sent to her was a master class on grooming, as soon as I read it I knew what he was. I went to the police and he admitted to it but the police declined to prosecute. @@bericagulbranson1630That's how they get around mandatory reporting requirements...churches use uneducated, untrained, unlicensed lay people to act as "counselors" for people in their church. That way, they try to pre-empt church members from going to a real psychologist or psychiatrist. Also, such unlicensed "counselors" are employed by and are loyal to the church. They also do not carry professional confidentiality, as licensed therapists do. Therefore, they can tell church authorities whatever you tell them, since it is not confidential. Worse, they are likely to obey their supervising minister, pastor, etc., with regard to reporting sexual abuse to outside authorities. If you have an issue involving sexual abuse, don't go to anyone in the church, go to legal authorities, who can investigate and do something about it. Plus, see a real, licensed therapist to get real psychological help, not an unlicensed church counselor.

Probably a church counselor with no license.

So many organizations and church les or schools have gone after good parents to cps for little or nothing and seen personally how they ruin peoples life and family for nothing but then the real and serious issues get ignored or pushed under rug and they dont do anything. We had a teacher in our high school here abusing students and they moved him to middle school while investigating and went on over yr and eventually he got arrested but then out yr or so later and could go back around kids in school or church and said he had counseling and paid dues. Many of those students were still in school when returned. Everything is so backwards. Just like police did nothing when I was kidnapped and sold and abused and ended up escaping and in hospital and no one did anything and wrote it as run away with risky behavior. Now as adult my 17 yr old son was being groomed at school and they came after us when we found out asking to meet. We were harassed by cps and took 10k in attorneys and lot of time in court and found nothing and got harassment to stop. Then he went missing at 17 and said legally allowed to leave and made report. He is now almost 19 and still heard nothing and think someone took him and in trafficking and told he just ran away when we know not true and that school knew before hand he was going to be gone and said nothing. His report goes away at 21 and no one actively looking and know not in our state and gave last contact info we had found. They consider him adult and can do whatever but know didn't stay gone on own. He was close to us and his brothers and wouldn't just leave and not contact us. All his social media had nothing since gone. Seriously this is happening to so many students and several here and no one will or says can do anything but take down report and if he has contact with LE then we will be contacted. He had no id nothing with him when left. I spend nights praying and crying and homeschool my last son in school and all my others in college or military. Im retired military and my husband has successful business and we have tried everything but have nothing to go on . Its like everyone is allowing this to happen. I was across country and 15 when it happened to me and so careful and never let my kids be watched by anyone or have internet or phone or anything and never did anything without us and for this to happen at school and purposely lied and hidden from us makes me so mad and when asked to meet with school they refused and called on us cps and no one did anything helpful or to check into what was going on at school. My kids didn't have cell phone and once had a male teacher call my phone asked for someone by name I said got wrong number come to find out was name they called him at school and thought was his number. Never found out who it was and no one looked into it after we found out what happened and told police and school. Protect your kids and trust NO ONE. Even counselor and therapist were no help or did anything.

Shame on the therapist, they're as bad as this woman.

She's not going to do it. Most people remain silent because they don't want to upset the status quo in their own lives or "be the bad guy"?

It’s a church therapist. They’re never licensed and are only there to keep things hidden.
