Just picked up the leatherette cover version yesterday at my local Catholic bookstore, looking forward to delving into it.

careful friend, it's not the same as the Christian Bible -- catechism is contradictory to Scripture. in short, it's not Christianity.

@@tony1685you need to get a real Catholic Bible, as the Catholics compiled the Bible! And then 1500 years later Martin Luther edited and deleted much of the Bible.

@@tony1685 It is a Christian Bible. It only has all the original books of the canon that were taken out after the reformation.

@@awateredgarden thanks for your reply friend! i have to ask -- do you understand why the apocrypha was taken out? have you studied the contradictions? do you realize that catholicism claims to have written them, yet nowhere else in Scripture do we see catholicism?

Very nice video. I bought my copy last year from Waterstones. Like many others I'm looking forward to the publication by Ignatius Press in October/November the complete OT and NT Catholic Study Bible. 😊

Concerning the Eucharist, look what the Lord says in verse 6:63. John 6:56 He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth: the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. 7×7×7×7×7×7×7=823,543 Exact count of every word and number of the King James Version. 7 to the power of 7 Jesus shows up exactly 77% of the way through the scriptures by word count. Word # 610,295 out of 790,849 totals words of scripture. The King James is written mathematically in a way that cannot be duplicated. God put his fingerprints on it.

@@JackCrawford-k2p That’s very cool if true. I love the way the KJV is written. It was not the first Bible and has had its fair share of revisions and obviously doesn’t contain the full canon, but it’s still beautifully rendered. And although not in the category of literal translation contains some lovely antiquated language and cadence that lends gravity to the text.

@padraicbrown6718 the 1629 Concorde and the 1769 Authorized. Front cover. All text. Full book titles 1189 chapters 31,102 verses. It doesn't occur in the 1611 because the apocryphal books were included in that version. They included the apocryphal books because they were considered "good reading " with moral lessons.
