Had a huge smile on my face during the whole video. Honestly, I'm impressed! That's quite a crowd that braved the cold to watch what is, as of now, a niche sport in the country. Adding sights as these to Team Canada's worthy (if brief) showing at the World Cup, I can see a bright future to Canada's football (or soccer, call it as you will) scene.

Football is not niche in Canada. It’s well participated. Any lack of viewership is due to the fact we realize we don’t have the best leagues. The league is getting better and Canada also now has the CPL just under MLS. But participation in the sport has always been high. We just understand and enjoy our Basketball, Hockey, American Football, and baseball just as much and since we have the best in those leagues it’s viewed more.

The MLS fan experience is very good. I can't believe that many people came out with that insane weather. I'm not sure why they don't have a roof. I think Miami lost that game when the temperature dropped below freezing. I live in Miami. People here break out the winter jackets when it drops below 60°F/16°C so I'm not surprised we didn't win 😂.

I saw the replay of the stream earlier and thought to myself “Oh man, maybe that WAS Ivana I saw at the match ..”, then watching this video, realised I was sat in the same area as when you were up top in the crazy cold, just a bit further back, and at some point on the way downstairs later,, I heard someone say “Mum” in the way Steve does, but just thought it was a Canadian thing rather than putting the two and two together. Funny old world, I’m a UK viewer over for a trip, and it was way too cold to take my hands out of my pockets to take photos or a vid, so thanks for the “way better than I would have shot” souvenir video of my Saturday night in Toronto, haha!

@@JetLagWarriors Well I haven’t actually been to a match in the UK in many a year and it was my second TFC match, as I went last Summer too, but you’re definitely right that a Summer evening makes for a much more comfortable experience down there at BMO Field, so that at least the lake winds blowing in your face are like sweet, sweet aircon rather than some cruel punishment from the football god of frost!) but for the dedication on Saturday, for how cold it was, I thought it was a great atmosphere and a really nice stadium. And the food options are just ridiculous (in a good way!)

Lately I've seen people from the USA warming up to soccer (football) too. Saw a bunch of stadiums being full (with people) during the championship. Maybe is also because the national USA team doesn't suck as much as in some other past 😄
