That's only part of it, look at the ear piece on Deion, it's not in his ear. Normally you have the head honchos yelling into the ear telling him to ask Lynch this and that. He straight up took it off and probably told him, "Look man, I'm not gonna ask you any bullshit technical questions, just talk to me tell me how you feel for real." Obviously, he knew that if he wanted to get any on-screen interview, he couldn't be asking him questions he wouldn't feel comfortable answering.

"Town Business in the building" is a dual reference to rap slang native to Oakland. "Town Business" is a song by rapper Keak da Sneak, which references Oakland Tech (where Marshawn played) and other public high schools. In the Bay Area, "the Town" refers to Oakland and "the City" refers to San Francisco. His pronunciation of "In the building" likens the phrase popularized by rapper Mac Dre, who said "I'm the billin and I'm feelin myself" in his local hit "Feelin Myself". If you did not pick up on these references, you are a square.

People want to get on Marshawn for only talking to "The Black guy". It wasn't the fact that Deion Sanders is black, or a respected athlete. People need to pay attention to HOW the interview was conducted. Deion conducted the interview like two people having a normal conversation about football. It wasn't rapid fire boom boom boom boom questions for the sake of getting a quote. It was a natural back and forth conversation where it put Marshawn at ease, where he felt that he wasn't being exploited for a quote. Listen to how Deion talks to him. It coulda been a conversation that was had by two men at the Barbershop. Laid back, at ease, respectful, no expectations. Perfect.

There's not a player in football today that leaves more of himself on the field. That's how he "respects the league". He's shortening his career drastically by doing it, but people get all worked up when he won't give lame interviews? Get a grip. There's also a difference between being social and being intelligent. He's got a college degree & was on the Dean's List, but he gets a hard time because he doesn't sound like the average player & can let a word slip. So he's become phobic about it. and...why do we care about insipid, canned interviews in the first place?

Its very unfortunate that they fine Marshawn Lynch for the lack of "media time" he gives, I mean here is a guy who leads by example in the way he plays. So when he finishes his piece Rich Eisen is quickly to call out, " we apologize for Marshawn going all "beast mode" on us." You apologize for his slang of his native tongue and you choose to fine him when he does not speak. The hypocrisy in the NFL is ridiculous, however Marshall Faulk does rectify Lynch's comments by sating not everyone is meant for the podium. Great interview wish Marshawn nothing but the best and if the Seahawks claim whether he's a distraction or these are just speculations from outside sources, the niners or oakland should pick Lynch up, he is a straight up savage and the Bay welcomes him.

Bruh the respect he must have pulled from his linemen and other teammates is what one the games. He knew how to answer according to that strategy. Like he said the whole team is a beast

We complain like crazy about athletes who run their mouth and we say just shut up and play all the time as a retort. This dude has taken that statement as a mantra. That's why I totally respect him and what he does. And what he does is the best damn thing a back can do--hit the hole, don't stop and drag every damn defender with you for multiple yards! BEAST MODE FOREVER!!!
