The message I get from this song is the main reason I want to visit America. I don't want to see large cities and buildings. I want to see the fields of a thousand acres, the towns and villages of the humble and proud, and the cowboys who fiercely protects their women. I'm no American but I relate to that "home feeling" very strongly. Love from Sweden.

I've been in the US Navy two years now. When i heard this song for the first time it sent shivers down my spine. This is true for so many of my brothers and sisters in arms. We long for home and wish we were there everyday but are willing to be someplace else because we know the value of home and of freedom. We don't fight for our leaders or those in office, we fight for our home and for those we love and cherish in our hearts. That's home and that is what liberty and freedom are.

Needs to be a reminder of what too many of us are taking for granted. I spent 6 months in the desert back in '95 and quickly learned just how good we have it here. Being away definitely enhances that Patriotism. I wouldn't wish deployment on anyone but I do wish it could be explained just how good we have it here. There just aren't words that come close to explaining the feeling of just wanting to go home every day you wake up.
