Seriously??? This is so very backwards from what I’ve been told!! I am interested in the Lymphedema Clinical Trial. I have been diagnosed with lymphedema for 15 - 20 years now. After watching this and another lecture, I am almost positive that I also have Lipedema. I have not been diagnosed but have enlarged legs and arms. I’m severely obese which continued to get worse as I attempted to take control of my diet. My current weight is at 330. My highest weight was in 2009 & 2013 when I went over 400#’s. Thank you again, for all of you breaking this study wide open!!!

Double whammy - hubby has diabetes. And recently was diagnosed wth LE. We are on board with the Flexitone compression device, also hand massage on non device days, lifestyle and diet changes, and intensifying our exercise (we live in a third floor walk up, yay). I decided also to read up and become educated about this widespread, baffling condition. And to also adopt the keto-genic, low carb way of eating along with hubby. I think we can do it best, together, Teamwork!!!

Ketogenic (rarely nuts or dairy) has been a miracle for my lipedema. It is the only thing that has made a huge difference. Intermittent fasting took it to an even better level. Ketox4yrs. It keeps getting better. I am 50. I did an experiment with calf raises and saw improvement so I just ordered a mini trampoline for the calf pump. Thank you for providing these videos so we can study and learn.

Keto isn’t perfect for everyone. It made me worse, as fats effect the lymph. And animal fats contain sialic acid except for fish and chicken. In some people with LYD/LD who also have autoimmune or EDS, sialic acid can effect them negatively. I have to be low carb and low fat, and exclude all sialic acid. The only fats I eat that are not taken up by lymph on ingestion are Omega3’s, wild fish, flax etc. Keto even made me fatigued and gain swelling on my legs. So please don’t act like it’s perfect for everyone.

In one of the case studies she says something about "wrong kind of exercise" that "increases swelling" instead of reducing it. But she does not elaborate further. What would be the strong kind of exercise? I feel that if I walk for a prolonged period of time my hands and legs/feet swell, but walking is usually recommended. What would be the wrong kind of exercise for someone with a lymphatic disorder?

I Have the same problem. So I'm a bit concerned with this study since I don't want to lose that much weight but reduce the body fat percentage. This study shows that unfortunately, it doesn't improve it. So I am wondering if it will help a person who is not obese or even to overweight...

I'm sorry but I've read a lot of different conflicting things I'm different videos regarding this issue.. why would a high-fat diet be good for somebody that needs inulin and more fiber and healthy bacteria in their gut obviously eating a high-fat diet would not be good for the issues involving this condition. I understand low sugar I understand natural Whole Foods and I understand avoiding gluten but I don't understand the use of high-fat and how it would help good bacteria because it just doesn't

really liked your food selection pyramid @ 25:40 , have lost 40 lbs but found out i must watch fluid intake and do LE care. Had a left leg blowout with lymph weeping out the skin, no med insurance, only emergency care and no medical advice( 2013). Get the advice out there! also caution for BP med users can get dizzy and fall too much, especially after eating or a hot bath. Have had BP go to 95/50 which means nap time or watch out for dizziness.

The keto diet is amazing. VERY easy to implement and oh boy, the way the body can heal itself. I eat the keto way and only eat two meals a day. This goes against everything I grew up with, but I love it. No more cravings for sugar or other junk food, abundant energy, clear headedness, and the weight loss is effortless. I'm eating for health primarily and it's working 😀

All research not funded by drug or food companies all say ketogenic diet is very good for us so not buying into it doesn’t make sense I suggest read the studies and benefits of this diet especially the clean keto diet. Food and drug industries will not publish or pay for studies that will loose them millions so don’t trust them and the food companies that with the most wealthy are the ones killing us.

The Lymphatic Groups should look into how Fungus is related to Lymphedema... How environment and modern day farming has hindered overcoming Lymphedema. The keto diet kills fungus issues.... Also, look into Nattokinase and Serapeptase can support the improvement the draining of the Lymphatics. Expert for over 40 years about Fungus is Doug Kaufmann of Knowthecause.com. He should be on your advisory board..... Full of good information.
