Lift and elevator are the same thing as they both define a room that transports humans between different levels. In us and Canada, people always call it an elevator, while people in Singapore, Australia, uk, Ireland, and New Zealand always call it a lift, unless they are talking to someone who they think is American, in which case they will say elevator. In USA, lift is also used for the same purpose, but only for those small open platforms that carry small objects like boxes. Otherwise, everyone there always call those human-sized rooms an elevator. Escalator is a moving staircase. This term is universal all over the English-speaking world. Travellator is the commonwealth term for a moving walkway, which is what USA and Canada calls this, which is like those conveyer belts you see at the airport where you put your bags on, except they are meant for you to stand on. Kind of weird how commonwealth uses travelator, but they use lift instead of elevator, and stick with escalator. Canada though follows USA despite commonwealth.
