It would be great to see a video about time management as a full time grad student and working a part time job.

I attend nova southeastern university and the school is located in florida. I am doing their online program. They also have an inpersn program. I live in washington and am unable to relocate. I did apply to university of washington which is where i did my undergrad but sadly rejected. Nova's interview was via zoom with an slp graduate alumni. UW does not do interviews so i just submitted an application. I heard some of my nova classmates say that they had a professor interview them. And you have to attend lecture weekly via zoom. It is actually mandatory and so far all of my professors have taken attendance. Overall the online program i would recommend. Although keep in mind nova is a part time program and its 3 years. However i am not in a rush so for me it works. But something to keep in mind!

Hi! I also live in WA and went to UW for undergraduate, thinking about moving forward to do SLP! Would love to hear from you how the program you ended up choosing is going and if you’re working while in school!!

@@kalisue6573 hi! that is awesome you are thinking about moving forward with SLP! Yes I am at NSU! I am in their online program which is part-time and it is 3 years. I am more than halfway done with about a year left. I have chosen to not work while in grad school (which I am grateful for the circumstances that allow it). There are a lot of people in my cohort who do work but have had to cut their hours back to make time for school. Even though it is remote, I like the program because you still get synchronous lectures and still get to interact with the professors. If you have questions the professors are pretty quick at responding. I will say just because it is remote does not make it "easier". I have found NSU's program to be tough and challenging (in good ways) academically. The professors do tend to have high expectations and really want to make sure you understand the material that is being presented. They hold you accountable for the information you learn. I would chose NSU all over again. Hope that helps! If you want to further chat let me know and maybe we can find a way to connect!

@@EmmaMroz I can send you an email through NSU mail. Is your name accurate on YT? If so I can type it into NSU directory and send you an email.

Yay!!! Happy Engagement!!! 🎉💍🥳❤️🥳💍🎉 I would love more details like you mentioned before about the differences of doing SLP College course work via online vs in-person. Would you say your testing strategies for success are much different from each other? Which strategies give you the most confidence before taking a test and how do you calm nerves even after you've studied, so nerves don't become distracting? What was the atmosphere like in each clinical environment? What moved you the most when it came to choosing between the hospital environment vs the school environment from each of your points of view? Are there other types of environments that you can work in as an SLP? Thank you for your lovely and informative videos!

With all due respect - the amount of “like” distracts us from getting information, ironically, from an SLP and an SLP assistant. You have to be more aware and get rid of too many “like” (Esp for Hailey)
